B/R: Nick Foles Won't Be Franchise-Tagged by Eagles; Will Enter Free Agency

How does winning a championship not look good? This quarter century of cowboys football has really done a number on a once proud fanbase.

When the guy responsible for winning it is walking out the door. Also the guy who turned Wentz 5-6 team into a playoff contender.

I'm having a great time watching your glorious meltdown, as you get smacked around like a piñata on your way out.

Did you just compare Dak Prescott to Dan Marino?

I was pointing out that you can't automatically say one QB is better than another because he won the Super Bowl - that you have to look at the whole picture.

Way out? I’m not going anywhere. Your argument is based around me feeling bad that we won a ring.

Yes, and the whole picture is Dak ‘playing great’ in playoff losses so it’s not his fault. Nick actually plays to win.

I’m curious to see where Foles goes. I’d assume jaguars would be a good fit possibly but there’s gotta be a lot of teams clamoring to sign a super bowl mvp id assume.

That doesn't seem to be the case. And it's reportedly one of the reasons why the Eagles came to their senses and aren't tagging him. That, and maybe doing right by the guy who actually won you a Suoer Bowl and letting him decide his own future.

No it isn't. You know it and I know it. You just want to try to dance around the truth and divert.

What truth? Montana won rings, they picked Steve. Brett won a ring, they picked Aaron.

The truth is if Carson didn’t matter, you guys wouldn’t be talking about him so much. He’s good enough to gain backlash here. Everybody ready to talk about Nate Sudfeld? No? More threads about Carson? Got it.

Carson won nothing and got hurt. And they picked him.

The truth is that I'm glad your team picked damaged goods.

I'm glad you're going with 5-6 over 4-1. And I'll be even happier when you overpay him to keep getting injured. Only now, there's no more Nick Foles coming to the rescue.

What games does he fold? Where did you come up with that. The whole reason the eagles drafted him was because he’s clutch. Remember the eagles cowboys overtime game this year? The entire reason it went to overtime is because wentz mounted a comeback in the 4th and Dak counted put us away.
Whats Dak's record against Wentz?

Carson, the first player in college football history to win 5 national championships. Yes he’s gotten injured, but he’s still gotten the job done.
Are you serious?
The guy only played 1 full season in college. So yea he sat and watched his team win 5 championships.
He only contributed to 1 of those. At the FCS level.

Hall of fame get ready.

Like I said. He is awesome at watching his team win....from the bench.

I'm not all in on Dak, but the reality is Foles had a great playoff run in 2017, and one strong season in 2013, and the remainder of his career has been as a backup or a mundane starter. Foles has never had a 3,000+ yard season. Never. Not once in 7 years. And he has only had 20 TDs once in 7 years, and that was 5 years ago. Outside the 2017 playoff/Super Bowl run he's been much more Case Keenum in his career than Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson or even Joe Flacco.

Actually not correct. He came back in the championship game and gutted it out to win the final one too. If your point is we’re guaranteed super bowl rings with him on the bench, why would I have a problem with that?

I am just saying I would rather have Dak in the 4th Q than Wentz. Stats alone if you disagree your heart is trumping your head lol

Neither has done anything to warrant that distinction. I’ll take Zeke over Dak in the 4th.

Could you list Dak’s epic comebacks against playoff caliber teams? How about ones where Zeke didn’t run for a Benjamin?

Ummm. Dak has some of the best 4th quarter PASSING stats out of every QB in the league over the last 4 years. Including Tom Brady. You definitely are sounding more and more homer as this continues. And yes Dak has Zeke correct. Your superbowl run 2 years ago I can argue without your defense giving Wentz the ball repeatedly his stats would have been different. Football is a team sport. I am simply saying. I take Dak in the 4th over Wentz. Thats it.
