No doubt in my mind. We lack some serious talent on the defense. Can't stop the run and can't stop the pass consistently. I'd say not enough talent is number one of the list.

So besides Romo, what don't we have that we had last year? We lost Murray but McFadden looks like he can be a lead back. We added solid players to a decent defense. We brought back the O-line intact and even added another good player.

Secondary is worse than last year. OL was better last year. TWill taking a step back. Special Teams - horrible.

Obviously losing Romo has been killer.

On defense, the secondary is a bottom 10 secondary. The LB corp, which most of us had VERY high hopes for, is average at best. McClain had a grand total of 3 tackles today. The defensive line is probably average overall.

I loved on those 4th down plays Hayden gets trucked by an average guard.

This team has a fundamental problem that begins with the coaches. Some of you guys won't come to this realization until it's too late, but many others already know. Garrett is not the chosen one, and we will never win a super bowl with him at the helms. You all better just hope he's served his papers before Tony and Witten decide to hang it up, because it would be a shame for them to never have a chance to compete on that stage.

Is Tony Romo really bigger than this organization or are the coaches this bad? I think the answer is obvious.

Seriously

Probably a 11-5 to 13-3 year with Romo.

Maybe 0-16 to 3-13 without Romo.

This is what happens when you have an All Pro QB.

The single most important position in all of sports.

Anyone writing hot takes about this team that has been in every single game without Romo and has lost 4 single score games doesn't realize this team is absolutely good enough with Romo. He is the only player (like most all pro qbs) that is not replaceable at some functioning level for us.

But when you have Weeden or Cassell and you're going against Ryan/Russell/Brady/Eli/Brees how do you expect to win close games?
