6-1 ....i'll take the win of course wasn't really all impressive but it's a W.

been a die hard fan since the 70's and i finally made it out to texas stadium.
seen the boys play all over the counrty, just never had a chance to see them at home...
was a real awesome experience.....but i do have to say not only are the locals the worst fans i have ever seen in my entire life....and trust me i have seen the worst at times...being from montreal canada and losing our montreal expo baseball team because of no fan base....

if not for the dallas cowboys shops in the mall i would never know the cowboys played in the same city i was in.....most of the real die hard fans are from the east coast.....if i was from texas i would definately be embarased, you have the best team in any sport and you have store owners selling other teams paraphanalia....

one thing guys when we have the ball it's kind of a good thing to be quiet and when we are on defense then it's time to make noise....

i can't count how many times i saw lineman and players on the sideline trying to quiet the crowd when we were on offense.....unbeleivable.....

I hear ya.....I was at the game last week(the pats game) and the "home" fans are lame. I am from texas(Victoria) and I was embarased. It was the 6th or 7th game I have been to and the home crowds are getting weaker every game i go to. Its a shame. Its like there isnt a home field advantage for the Cowboys. maybe when the new stadium opens things will change.

It was a decade ago and our fans sat on their hands, little to zero fan noise. No tailgating, just a very passive crowd. Its a different world at a Giants, Bills, Pats, Eagles home game. Fans are rabid and downright rowdy here.

I didn't see that in Dallas. But in defense of fans, we were throttled that day.

I think it's all relative. Crown Royal went and said that he thought the crowd noise was decent. I thought it was pretty good, too as far as how it came thru the TV and I didn't even have the surround sound on.

Yeah, I thought the crowd did good as well, judging from the TV sound. I was at the opening day game this year against he Giants and I thought the crowd was real loud for that. Maybe it was just me but I was happy with it.

Woody:
Its just not a loud crowd by nature. Now that we are winning more maybe tide turns. I have also read Dallas and many teams are now piping in canned crowd noice to distract opposing offenses....

Again it's all relative. I've gone to games. Came home with a sore throat from yelling...and then I see posts that the crowd sucked. Go figure.

I have also read Dallas and many teams are now piping in canned crowd noice to distract opposing offenses....
2nd time you've posted that. Link please? Because I've only seen something like that referred to Indy.

Ok, seriously, I'm not sure if it was you who has claimed this before, but can you or anyone else provide any evidence of this beyond rumor? I hope they dont' do that...and it sure doesnt' seem that way on tv...although I've been told that television doesn't do our crowds justice, so it would be equally hard to tell if it were fake crowd noise.

The crowd was pretty loud for this game. I have to hand it to the fans, but they also have to learn when to be quiet when we're on offense. All-in-all, I'll take the noisy crowd every game.

That's cause it is Dallas. They are like the Los Angeles of Texas....all glamour, plastic, and superficial.

Trust me, San Antonio is filled with rabid Cowboys fans. We would be absolutely rowdy down here if we had the Boys. Unfortunately they are stuck in Big D, with those nonchalant, sleep inducing fans.

I have been to a handful of games. Atlanta fans were louder than Cowboys fans. Giants fans were pretty rowdy. Now, Jax had basically zero fanbase for the Cowboys game.....I do find though, that when watching the game on TV, even vs very good teams, crickets seem louder.

However, I was very impressed with this last game. The crowd was rowdy throughout. I had my volume low on the TV, and the crowd was still roaring. I guess they ate their wheaties. One thing that did bother me about the crowd on Sunday was the fans were loud when we were on offense. Romo was at home, and the crowd wouldn't shut up so he could run the hurry up. That would never happen to Peyton in Indy.

I hope the new stadium brings a more enthusiastic group of fans. I wish the Cowboys home games were like KC, Pittsburgh, and Denver.......I also wish we were intelligent like Indy fans (quiet when we are on offense, and absolutely deafening when we are on defense)

Not necessary, I actually enjoy them...I just didn't want to see the blood fly.

I read it months ago, teams piping in crowd noise.
I can believe you read something about it, but I don't believe Dallas has ever done anything like that.

I'd appreciate you find or remember your source before referring to something like that again, because that's a serious charge to make without any proof to back it up.

I'm tired of defending it. I keep seeing stuff about KC, NY, , Philly, etc.

Texas Stadium has a capacity of 65k, KC and NY have over 10k more seats, and Philly hasn't been the same since the Link was built, which goes to show how much acoustics play a role in field noise.

I'm not going to say that the Dallas crowd is every bit as rowdy as NE teams, but frankly, I am glad for that. Nothing worse than dealing with a bunch of drunks willing to fight over a game.

Great point, I've gone to Texas Stadium about 7 or 8 times and I've sat close to some pretty annoying opposing fans and they have always been treated with respect, there is something to be said about class.

Having noisy fans would be great but the Cowboys have been the most successful franchise in the history of the NFL without them, so I think noise may be a little overrated.

Just ask Philly.
