It's clear Rush is better then Moore. Maybe bring Moore in as a QB advisor.....

You beat me to the punch. I was going to say, don't be surprised when Moore is still on this team. Just not on the roster...Dallas FO still want him in that QB room to mentor Dak.. exp if you Rush in another young QB in Cooper

I agree that Rush should be higher on the depth chart than Moore. Based on the 2 preseason games Rush looks much better. I also like his size compared to Moore. Dak apparently likes him too based on the comments by the announcers.
I agree
but I think that Kellen is
the #2 come game 1.
It is the cowboys! :lmao2:

I know that it is still pretty early in preseason games, but there is a clear pattern developing. As of now, Rush should be moved up to the back-up with Moore coming in 3rd. Before anyone says "who cares, we will lose if Dak goes down", we do need someone with potential to develop.

As far as I am concerned, Moore is just as much as a developmental project as Cooper and one has 5 years on his opponent. I think we have seen the ceiling on Kellen and it is not much above the ground. At least, Rush shows quite a bit of potential.

I mean, if Dak does get injured, would yas rather lose watching Rush or Moore? I think that is pretty easy to answer.

Kellen Moore is a progress stopper at this point. He could be blocking other potential QB draftees from joining the team to see what they have. It is asinine if he is just handed the back-up job because Linehan vouched for him.

From what I have seen, Moore does not belong in the NFL......period. I do realize that most teams don't have a capable 2nd stringer but that should not mean we settle for Kellen. He needs to be released after the last preseason game and if they love him so much, put him on the PS. It is not like some other team will snag him.

If Rush continues to play better and Kellen stays the same or worse but keeps the back-up role, something stinks in Dallas.

In closing, Kellen Moore is a terrible NFL QB even though he was a great College player. Do you know who else was great in College? Vince Young, Tim Tebow and Doug Flutie.
Rush looks good, should be our #2 QB !!!

Do we still have Super Bowl aspirations?

Why wouldn't we?

Do you expect us to go 0-6 without Zeke?m

Even if we are 2-4 when we get Zeke back(assuming he misses the first 6 games), we will still be in a position to fight our way back into playoff contention. I wouldn't bet against Dak, Dez, Witten and our OL.

Regardless---this is not about Zeke. This is about a backup QB that shouldn't be handed the job.

Could you imagine how the rest of the league would view us if we hit on another QB like this?

Undrafted free agent who winds up becoming the backup to the 4th round starter..

And if he keeps progressing, Rush could be a great potential trading piece in the future, ala Jimmy G.

I was thinking this myself. The Packers used to do this behind Favre. It would also make me feel better if anything did happen to Dak.

Yes its true we have found a new QB talent it appears.
Three more pre-season games will show what the coaching staff is willing to consider.
My guess is they'll go with experience.

Cooper Rush 9/11 for 104 yds and a TD.

Kellen Moore 8/17 for 69 yards.

I think the results speak for themselves. Doesn't matter how long a guy has been in the NFL or how 'well he knows the system'. Results on the field speak for themselves.
(That's a Bingo!,,,, er,,,you just say BINGO!)

You mean the same one that stayed with a rookie QB over an all-pro and face of the franchise?
I really didn't like this one Friend, as I hit the 'Like' clicker,,, cuz' now I'm thinking about how much I don't 'like' Clove cuz' he don't 'like' Romo and Romo don't like hearing he's Fat and his FAT don't like having to hang around with someone that can't appreciate that whole 'hedge against rapid starvation' it provides and well,,:lmao::muttley::lmao:

Moore is a guy who fits the dink and dunk (instead of run) offense that Linehan prefers. Problem is defenses have figured out to just move everybody up and attack and you're screwed. The results are 3 and outs alla 2015. Rush steps in and runs the same offense Dak runs so clearly somebody needs to tell Linehan his boy isn't cutting it. Noodle arms don't make it with the speed and play recognition of NFL defenses. So, Jason, step up and make the call, Moore is now battling for the 3rd spot.
