I know that it is still pretty early in preseason games, but there is a clear pattern developing. As of now, Rush should be moved up to the back-up with Moore coming in 3rd. Before anyone says "who cares, we will lose if Dak goes down", we do need someone with potential to develop.

As far as I am concerned, Moore is just as much as a developmental project as Cooper and one has 5 years on his opponent. I think we have seen the ceiling on Kellen and it is not much above the ground. At least, Rush shows quite a bit of potential.

I mean, if Dak does get injured, would yas rather lose watching Rush or Moore? I think that is pretty easy to answer.

Kellen Moore is a progress stopper at this point. He could be blocking other potential QB draftees from joining the team to see what they have. It is asinine if he is just handed the back-up job because Linehan vouched for him.

From what I have seen, Moore does not belong in the NFL......period. I do realize that most teams don't have a capable 2nd stringer but that should not mean we settle for Kellen. He needs to be released after the last preseason game and if they love him so much, put him on the PS. It is not like some other team will snag him.

If Rush continues to play better and Kellen stays the same or worse but keeps the back-up role, something stinks in Dallas.

In closing, Kellen Moore is a terrible NFL QB even though he was a great College player. Do you know who else was great in College? Vince Young, Tim Tebow and Doug Flutie.

Cowboys don't want to spend money on good backup

Dak's success last season should teach this coaching staff to not ignore preseason performances.

Has Moore had the best supporting cast?

No way but he hasn't done anything in preseason or his NFL career to be the main backup on a team that has Super Bowl aspirations.

If anything, these two games should mean game on for the backup QB competition.

I agree that Rush should be higher on the depth chart than Moore. Based on the 2 preseason games Rush looks much better. I also like his size compared to Moore. Dak apparently likes him too based on the comments by the announcers.

Garrett and Linehan have a love affair with Moore. He's going to be the #2 regardless of the preseason IMO.

It's one of this staff's flaws. They latch onto hardworking, untalented, flaw players for too long.
