We need to come out and pound and pass. NO MISTAKES. Take the lead and when our Defense makes a stop or gets a break our Offense has to take advantage of it. Jump up on a team and let’s see what we can do when we take chances with a lead instead of needing to take shots.. Play loose.

Let's start a Dak thread for every QB ever drafted.

Yeah, that'd be cool.

YES, Dallas got a steal getting Dak in the 4th.

He's in his 5th year now and, by the very definition of the franchise tag requirements, is getting paid like a top tier QB.
Can we get over the draft position finally?

Thanknyou for saying this.

People dont realize that Dak now is judged like a top 5 qb because he is paid like one. The expectations werent that high when he was in his rookie contract. They arose after he demanded to be paid like an all pro. Now he is paid like that so lets play like it.

To compare a 2nd year rookie qb to a 5 year veteran is unfair also.

I expect dak zo light it up against the browns. It should be stats wise like wilson against dak last week. Everything else is a bad showing by dak.

Imagine if we loose this game lol.. Jesus Christ

It is a possibility. Browns habe a strong pass rush and our qb is struggeling with it. Browns have a good rushing attack and we struggle with that.

Its gonna be a close one.

I cant imagine us getting many interceptions. More likely to get sacks/qb fumbles. Mindblowing how we never get interceptions

The defense has forced 0 fumbles outside of Diggs punching that ball out right before the WR scored.

Does the name Trevor Siemian ring a bell to anyone? A couple years back, he roasted the Cowboys in Denver.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Mayfield do the same thing. Especially with this defense.

Dak is still very underappreciated and still in question among Cowboys fans,..and even media,

also, Dak appreciation can be compared to the QB we're competiting against THIS week in Baker Mayfield, and it's not just "steal" but
it still also goes to how so very tough it is to acquire quality read deal starting QBs entrenched for years to come.

Baker and Dak will not face each other, they will face the defense. Only time both QB will be on the field at the same time is before kickoff and after kickoff. Right now Cleveland is 2-1 on the season, they have shown very good ability in the run game as they are currently 3rd in the NFL in rushing. It will be very important for Dallas to stop the run, if not then they will use the run to open up their passing game. I think Mayfield has looked good at times but just seems to be a guy who once tends not to look off intended targets very often and will throw into heavy coverage. As for Dak, it will start with protection, if Cowboys can give him that and we can do better in the run game I like our chances quit a bit.

But Baker's game seems so erratic and wild and so unstable that he's not a passing strength vs the better teams

Lucky for him we're not one of those better teams.

he's not an established strength,..his mechanics are so shoddy- those fadeaway jump shot passes

He just needs to get crappy passes out to a RB in the flat and is guaranteed 12 yards every time.

he panics in the pocket and bails out too many times

Neutralize Aldon Smith and he literally has nothing to panic about in the pocket.

He just does not connect and involve his WRs. ..and he's an INT machine

Luckily, neither are our DBs

Its possible. I see no reason why they couldn't. You look at their roster and our flaws....we can't stop the running game and we can't stop the pass. They happen to have Chubb and Hunt as running backs and OBJ and Landry as receivers with Hooper at tight end.

You are ABSOLUTELY right..... i am really really sad... and to a point resigned that this will be our reality for years to come

Dak is miles better than Baker. I imagine almost everyone on this site would acknowledge that.

I think Baker still has potential but I agree with you about his erratic passing being a major concern.

I don't see the Dallas defense stopping the Cleveland offense. Baker isn't great, but with Chubb likely putting them in short down and distance situations, Baker won't have to make lots of tough throws. Their TE is very good, and Landry is a wiz in the short game. Get ready for lots of 3rd and 2/3/4 conversions with easy passes to Hooper, Landry, & Njoku (sp?). Dallas's offense will have to score in the mid to upper 30s for a win....again. Be nice to win a game without having to score 30+. Dare to dream.

Browns pass defense is not great, but hey do have a rush.

Like vs Seattle, Their rushing D is decent, so we could yet again take to the air.

We don't have to dream. We watched it not happen earlier this season.
