National stories around the country coming in...and doesn't look good for him. It might be a good time for him to update his résumé.

Fox Sports references his "bizarre rant" while Washington Post writes, "Brian Baldinger, call your office."

Haha, what an idiot.

As much as I don't care about grown men talking about needing to "take someone out of the game" in a physical sport, given the fallout from the Saints ordeal this was about as dumb a comment as you can make. It would have been fine to say "hit him and knock him out of the game", but once he said 'bounty' it was all over.

If he still has a job by the end of the weekend, i'd be surprised.

Meh. Don't think he should lose his gig, just issue or an apology or something to calm the faux-outrage. No one will care Monday morning.

Yeah, I did and I've already heard about it. It happens. I always look. I just missed it. Sorry. We're working on it.

I like yours better anyways, it has pictures. Dexter likes pictures and looks more official :D

Actually I thought there was another one. This is based on an article and Risen's isn't. Standby for updates! :)

This was not a "tongue in cheek " comment, this was pure "foot in mouth".

Tongue in cheek is a visual representation of what Baldinger had just done to his broadcasting career.

I don't think some fans grasp the gravity of the situation. The league is doing all they can to protect themselves from future player safety issues. They can not allow one of their own employees to go on the radio and campaign for a bounty to take out a player. They just can't.

Now whether he gets fired, I don't know but something has to happen. Otherwise this situation will be mentioned in many lawsuits in the future.
