Garrett ruined many careers. :banghead:

The more time goes on, the more I realize how bad it was. Usually a Coach looks better in retrospect.
I just want to remind everyone that I was the leader of get this bum out of here even when he was the OC. Back in the day when Hostile was all about him being the next Landry and a whole lot of others.

Yea ignore getting down 21-3. This is why “stats lie”
They actually started the game like most of the Cowboy games of years past. Failed to show up early and than was too late to catch up. It was very similar game to the 94 SF game where we game out flat and turned it on too late……

Who's to say Romo would've done better? Y'all act like it was an automatic Superbowl that year, Romo has never gotten passed the divisional round. Lol Witten didn't even want him back, like Keefe D would say "Dayuum"
Dak has never gotten passed the divisional round so far either.

I guess we should just throw the towel in since we have no shot at a SB…

Do you see how dumb your logic is?

People act like he was the second coming of Joe Montana. He failed in many playoff games and he hardly played any games for 2 seasons. And now all of a sudden he's going to beat the great Aaron Rogers.

I don't act like it's an automatic Superbowl appearance like you do with Romo

and thats with a healthy oline and zeke running for 5.5yds a carry.

Dak played great, but that shaky offensive start and no show in the 3rd put us in a hole that we kept struggling to get out of.

Also still dont know how the hell rodgers held on to the ball when Heath whacked him from behind, also all three of our sacks came from the secondary, none from the dline lol.

Um, I didn’t ignore it. I said the defense didn’t show up in the first half.
you did. You ran to google to look up Dak’s stats that game and didnt include context.

Had he started the game off a lot better, the Cowboys most likely wouldve won.

How many teams win in the playoffs when they are down 3 scores?

Yeah, pretty silly to ignore this fact. Was it the defense’s fault. Partially. But it was also the offense’s fault for the standard 3 and outs and not maintaining possession long enough to put points on the board. Garbage time stats when the team is behind with little time left and the opposing D is playing soft is not something to advertise. Would Romo have a difference? It’s a moot point, but it’s likely he would’ve since he was the more experienced QB. Cowboy’s management got deluded with a win streak and not an objective assessment of football. It should never have been about Dak vs Romo, but about whether the team could’ve done better with the better and more experienced QB, all things being equal. And the what ifs based on that reality is what leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Dak was the potential future, but Romo was still there in the present.

Having Zeke in his prime helped Dak a lot....without him, Tony may have been back.
Watched the '16 loss to GB last night and was reminded how fast Zeke was at one time. Dude had a couple runs that started up the middle and he bounced it wide where he beat defenders, that had an angle, to the edge. Very impressive stuff from him then.

Also, noticed a change in Dak's physique and mobility. Dak has a thick (not bad) appearance now but in '16 he clearly was leaner which highlighted a more muscular appearance and his footwork was much quicker. Age and injuries really take a toll on these guys.

Can't believe that team didn't go further given the roster.

Really interesting video. I doubt it changes anyone’s opinions as feelings on this topic seem to be really strong but I thought this was good info!
