I'll watch it because I like comics and comic book movies but supermans little finger would beat up batman
A completely made up premise to stir up interest in DC comic characters
That the comics themselves actually already did the storyline for. lol
It's not like the idea of them fighting was brought up by the movies.
Personally my favorite comic story was the one that they wrote where they fought, when Batman was older, because they showed how a person with brains could come up with a plan to defeat a guy whose basically a God with only 1 real weakness.
At no time during that comic do they even attempt to make it seem like Batman could physically defeat Superman. He uses his brains to defeat him with the use of machines and Kryptonite. Which I'm sure you've read that comic, but maybe you just didn't like it. I don't know.
I thought it was great and perfectly written for what they were wanting to do.
Either way so hilarious how people are like "if this was reality Batman could never beat Superman"....as if a guy like Superman could even exist in said reality. lol
For DC to succeed, they need to go in a different direction than Marvel with this. A dark gritty version, would be most welcome. Marvel is getting too kid friendly, I need more. I need a Punisher or Blade film.

I'm already liking the vibe I'm getting from Henry Cavill's Clark Kent. He carries himself like a modern day, 6' 3"' 230 pound, confidently intelligent man instead of a sniveling idiot who would stand out in a crowd. I can't say the same yet about Ben Afflack's Bruce Wayne. I hope he can pull it off.
Edit: I have two words after watching the trailer for a third time.
Wonder Woman.
This is more like it.
I don't know why but when I read that I thought of the "Do you want to start a rumble???" scene from The Big Bang Theory:
What you say is true but comics and their stories exists within the fictional world. And the movie will too.
I am guilty of "the versus thing" but not due to lack of interest in the films. I'm interested in all of the movies without exception. My versus thing focuses upon comparative quality and quantity between movies produced and based on the two separate comic groups/universes.This trailer looks really good.
I don't do the marvel vs dc thing.... I like them/have interest in most all of them.
This trailer looks like a real "off the comic books pages" visually!
I love that. I feel Marvel is misses out on this too often.
Some of the long shots in these trailer are excellent!
I always thought I was critical about matching the right actors to characters but I have discovered that my expectations fall short by comparison.Looks hot!
Wonder women... I hope I fall in love with how the actress is in this movie.
Like others and I have said... She is puny. But I will give this a chance.
I would not be surprised in the least if all three--Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman--knew their respective secret identities by the movie's conclusion. Man of Steel established the non-clueless precedent by having Lois Lang logically decipher Kal-El's secret identity in short order. The world's greatest detective will probably figure out Kal-El's secret just as quickly in my opinion. And it would be equally unsurprising to me if Diana reveals her other persona to Superman and Batman. DC made the Amazon Princess' identity known to the world a long time ago. I think the movie may start out with her being a mystery but will end with announcing who she is to the world also.Oh.... Is Bruce Wayne smart enough to know that Clark Kent is Superman?
