I have not heard one way or the other of why he missed the meetings...just saying there is a possibility (no matter if it is remote or not) that he could have missed the meeting(s) because he was stoned.

Just don't know enough to say one way or the other.

The Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings have suspended quarterback Quincy Carter for at least one game for missing an unspecified number of team meetings according to Battle Wings operating manager Dan Newman.

"Quincy missed some meetings and has been suspended due to af2 rules,'' Newman said. "He won't be with the team for Friday's game.''

The Battle Wings host the Manchester Wolves on Friday at 7:35 p.m.

Carter was informed of the decision at Wednesday's practice at Independnce Stadium.

"Like anyone else would be, he was upset,'' Newman said.

In Carter's place, former BTW and Grambling quarterback Gary Cooper will get the start for the 5-1 Battle Wings.

Battle Wings coach Jon Norris wasn't immediately available for comment.

I am sorry but I am tired of all these threads about how he did something bad or hey Carter has been good for a while maybe he has changed.. just forget about him I know he was a once cowboy QB but still who cares about a guy who messed up his life when your at a team that has tremendous QBs such as Troy, Stalback, and White I mean who cares about him he messed his life when he was at a spot a kid dreams about every day. he messed up a lot of kids dreams he was a role model to kids then bang he goes and mess up his life so lets just shut up about him. please

well there where kids standing up for Carter when there parents were saying we need to bench him but thats my street. anyways who know what I mean.
