Open Beta started today. Anyone try it out?

I think it's okay. I'm not usually a fan of the war themed one shot kill games, but the graphics are pretty good.

The Battlefield games are the best in the business. The only CoD game that even came anywhere close to a BF game was CoD4.

I've been playing BFBC2 again recently. Even those most of these kids are far better than I, I still enjoy playing. (read, getting killed over and over hehe)

I will probably end up buying this one even though I was just going to get D3. The Battlefield games are just too good to pass up.

Downloaded the open beta through the terrible Origin client earlier today. I played a match. It looks great, and runs with everything on ultra on my pc nicely. I did very poorly, but it was pretty fun. I'll have to spend more time with it to see if it recaptures the old Battlefield 2 magic.

I'm a huge fan of Battlefield: Bad Company 2's online multiplayer (particularly the co-op mode) so I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Gotta give it a shot. I also have heard it's really good.

Just sick. Wasn't anything that I ate. Unless you mean what I ate for dinner. I ate a beef and potato stew over white rice. Freaking good too!

Well luckily, the staff doesn't seem to just liberally toss infractions around, thankfully.

Some forums, you post a thread in the wrong area by accident and you'll suffer permanent banishment! And all the 20 or so replies trolling you for putting the thread in the wrong forum.

Hmm. I wonder who has the most infractions / warnings here without actually being ban. I would think I'm in the running for that title. :laugh2:

I couldn't get online to play.

EAs servers suck.

I don't think I've ever connected to their NCAA servers.

Want to play this game big time but EA just sucks.

I am a Battlefield player from way back too...played the BF3 Alpha, and now the Open Beta.

I like it. Has some work before it should be release in retail, but the Capsian Boarder 64 player is is insane.

The console beta looks like absolute trash. The controls don't feel as tight as Bad Company 2's, either.

DICE locked the texture quality for the console versions on purpose for the beta, though...they did the same thing during the closed beta for Bad Company 2 ( i participated in that one as well) and I thought the game was going to suck.

I'm 100% positive that the final build will be sensational given that history, but that doesn't help me now.

The PC beta, however, is fantastic. It's got some bugs but for the most part it looks MUCH better and the Caspian Border map that is available (if you have the passwords) looks amazing on high detail.

FPS on console is trash. Though I did hear that the PS3 version of BF3 will support keyboard and mouse play.

Im personally in love with this game I'm already a LVL 17 and just trashing kids with the UMP-45.

Got a lot of bugs to work out.

My guy seems to just move around without me doing anything.

Every now and then the buttons don't work. Try to aim down sights and nothing. Try to sprint and nothing.

I actually got stuck under the map one time and had to kill myself to get out.

So far, does it play like Bad Company 2? Or more like Battlefield 2 for the PC?
