Dak took his shirt off after Rush came back against the Giants. That's some major insecurity issues to try to steal the spotlight from the other guy. He doesn't have to say a thing for everyone to capture his desire for attention. I don't recall Romo trying to overshadow Dak.
He took his shirt off? Really? He wasn’t just standing around; he was jogging if I remember, but regardless, so he never said it and this is just garbage mind reading.

Dak is the leader of this team. He'd better have an ego and he better believe in his own abilities. Would teams rather have a quiet, sheepish starting quarterback that defers to everybody or a guy that asserts leadership?
I'm pretty sure teams would rather have a QB that performs when the games matter; being a good talker or leader comes secondary to winning.

Dak shrivels when the moments get big.

To be honest if the offense is the same with Dak at the helm then why change? If the 6 year vet isnt better than the guy they didnt want to win the backup spot heads should roll.

Its never been worse over 4 games we are literally ranked bottom tier in every scoring metric total points, points per play, points per drive...we would have to score nothing to get worse.

It is not complicated to me. Dak needs to be a bus driver when he gets back. Now Dak can be a better bus driver than Rush, as long as the coaches protect Dak from himself.

What does protecting Dak from himself mean?

Do not assume Dak can carry a team like the great QB's can because he will fail.

Keep the offense ground and pound and playaction off of it. This makes the reads simple for Dak, especially against good defenses. Add some RPO and designed QB runs in the mix. Stop asking Dak to air it out. When Dak faces good defenses and they throw the ball a lot it leads to 3 and outs or turnovers.

Run the clock and play field position, and rest the defense.

Cooper Rush should have taught this team its winning formula. Dak must be apart of that, in order for this team to take another step.

THIS.

It should be required reading for the HC, OC and most importantly the QB.

The season basically boils down to protecting SleepNumber from himself at the expense of what's best for the team.

If he goes back to his former behavior the team will go nowhere.

If he MIRACULOUSLY adheres to the current script of winning football, then post season success is possible.

It's a huge ask. McCarthy and Moore gotta be part psychiatrists and give the proper counseling here to convince him of team over self. Team over Ego.

Gonna be fun to watch, lol.

Yet we beat the two super bowl teams and a solid giants team. How much higher level is there?

We certainly might do some stumbling...but this hasnt been a cake schedule so far.

In 1996, we beat both Super Bowl trams without scoring a TD. We walloped Minnesota in the WildCard round with good defense. But anyone looking honestly at the offense that year knew we wouldn't be able to keep up further in the playoffs and sure enough we lost to the Panthers, putting up only 19 points.

Seems we are saving that part for dak.

Within Dak's career here are some stats from his games:

17 of 24 for 195 yards with 1 TD Dallas won

12 of 18 for 139 yards with 1 TD Dallas won

17 of 37 for 165 yards with 1 TD and 2 INT Dallas lost

13 of 18 for 183 yards with 2 TD's Dallas won

14 of 22 for 143 yards Dallas won

Funny how when Dak was doing what Rush is doing now his supporters were screaming "Dallas Won so stats don't matter!!!!" yet when Rush is doing something similar and winning Dak's supporters are screaming "We need Dak back for an effective passing game!!!!"

Dak has a massive chip on his shoulder. A chip that forces him to "prove the doubters wrong".

What's ironic is that the chip actually handicaps Dak. If he just played within the confines of the offense (like Cooper Rush), the Cowboys would be way more successful, and by association, Dak would be proving the doubters wrong.

Instead, Dak think he's got to throw for 300/3TD every game and show what a field general he is. And doing that causes us to fail as a team.

If Dak would just play restrained football, things would be fine.

I don't listen to these fools. They are no better than anyone us here at CZ. These two fools are nothing more than clickbait masters and know how to get people to watch their silly show.

Skip maybe right. He also could be wrong. I know though, about 100 yards passing per. game is not going to win us a championship. We will need more from the offense if were going to win against better teams.

Dak is good for at least an additional TD per game over the last 4 games. I admire what Cooper Rush has done in not turning the ball over, and I don’t believe that Dak is as good as Romo was. But Dak is better than Cooper Rush. He led the #1 offense in the NFL last season.

Of course, he believes he can take the Cowboys’ offense to another level - because he’s already proven he can. I’m not a huge Dak fan. I think the Cowboys missed their chance in 2016 by keeping Romo on the bench, although I understand why they did it. Dak literally had the best rookie QB performance in NFL history. So I get it.

Dak has every reason to believe he can improve the offense, and it is NOT derogatory to Cooper Rush for him to believe in himself.
Yep

If we can go to playoffs with Dak and an below average to bottom tier defense, the sky is the limit with this defense.

Dak trolls get prepared for our new Golden God in Micah Parsons to take #4 where you never thought possible. Lol
