BE HONEST NOW: Who would you rather have at out-side linebacker?

Amazing how some people don't let logic and facts stand in the way of their "Madden football" opinions.

The fact is that Arrington is an overrated, overpaid, overhyped player.

His teriffic athletic ability has, and continues to intrigue both coaches and fans.

The fact is that his play has never lived up to his billing. Not even when he was making Pro Bowls back in 2003. Players get in the Pro Bowl on name all the time. Michael vick anyone?

Another fact is that - despite some fans' most fervent wishes - the Cowboys never had any interest in Arrington. And they in fact did have a need at outside linebacker!

Arrington foolishly paid the Commanders to get out of his deal, thinking that he'd make the money back as a free agent. And the entire league showed how wrong he was! He sat on the market while the money was gobbled up and finally took a below-market, incentive-laden deal in New York. Anyone who takes the time to look at his deal will see that the Giants have little invested in him.

Amazing that the entire league had such little interest in such a "dominant player" isn't it?

:lmao:

If it pleases you to feel as such, I am OK with it.

In summation, I don't agree, you don't agree.

The season is coming and we will see if all you claim is truth or just fowl.

Alexander's opinion is a bird? j/k.....:)

dude, you don't get what we're claiming, in fact, you're distorting it, noone is saying LaVar sucks, isn't good, just he doesn't fit into the sytem, nor do we want him, which the latter has already been proven since we made NO attempt to bring him in, much less gauge his interest in coming here

So you vote for the Commanders way of signing name FAs, because they're proven? Never mind the fact that sometimes they've "proven" that they're inconsistent, have bad attitudes, or are injury prone? Should we just forego the draft? Because I guarantee I could have found 32 free agents who are better "right now" than the top 32 picks in the draft.

Did I ever say anything about foregoing the draft, all I'm saying is that at this point if I had to choose one of the four players I would have chosen Arrington.

I would never want Arringtons salary and would rather build through the draft, but if I had a choice right now between those four players I would chose Arrington.

What's it going to be then, eh?

His salary isn't that bad if you read the fine print. In fact, it was very cheap for someone with a 99 rating in Madden.

It was your reason for saying that - you said you would choose him because he is the better player right now. Of course he is. He's an NFL veteran. And that's my point - his ceiling has been reached. He is what he is. That is the Skins method of building a team - and it never works.

The great Madden grows tired of Arrington's injury problems. He's probably a 95 or something.:)

I honestly don't believe this is the case Summer but I have been wrong on many occasions. It is not inconceivable that I am in fact missing the boat. Having said this, I am destined to be in a very small minority. I am content to be on the island with Wilson and nobody else.

:laugh2:

I actually stated in my first post that it would three years to come up with the correct answer.

No one is talking about the Skins and no one cares about the skins. Their method is there method and I honestly don't agree with it. I was not talking about a philosophy.

I was taking about a hypothetical situation. You do understand the term don't you?

The Cowboys are never going to choose anybody, but Carp. The question was "Who would you rather have at outside Linebacker?"

And I was thinking about several possibilities. What can we do with different abilites of each player? What does each player bring?

HYPOTHETICALLY

Do you understand?

It would have been cool if you went over any of that to start with, rather than a blanket "LaVar is the better/more proven player right now" statement, but you didn't. You just tossed out statements about size and athleticism that weren't true to begin with.

Arrington is a bigger and better athlete, right now, then any of the other three IMO.

Saying it over, and over again doesn't make it true. he's the same weight as Wimbley and Carpenter, and the same height as Carpenter. Wimbley's got an inch on him. Please stop with the lies.

I would put hard money on the fact that Arrington is bigger then what he is listed. Those, I believe, are his rookie numbers. He has gotten bigger.
