Bears cut Ratliff after reported altercation with GM

I loved Ratliff's efforts for us before he got all messed up in the head. He played with attitude and great effort. I won't forget those years, but I also won't forgot the player he chose to become to finish his career.

Did we ever get a understanding of why he fell out of favor with the Cowboys?

Nick Eatman wrote a book about the Cowboys a couple of years back and in it he detailed an epic fight in the locker room between Columbo and Ratliff at training camp.

Honestly, I can't see this guy winning a fight with the Rat.

Does he get paid for the whole year?

Isnt there something in the CBA that says if a veteran is on roster week 1 his salary is guaranteed, this is why some vets get cut and brought back week 2.

I am just glad he isn't in Dallas, and hope he doesn't come back

blah blah, Jay Rat-turd, blah blah,,,,, who is Ziggy Hood and why didn't we give him a look?

Man, hard to believe this is his third season in Chicago.

How long before he ends up signed to the Potomac Drainage Basin Indigenous Peoples?

Vets can file for termination pay if they are released after being on the roster Week One.

You can only do that one time and it depends on whether he filed for it against Dallas or not.

He was only making 1.25m this year, so we are talking about 750k or so.

I was thinking the same. Or he's roiding and got the rage.

yea, when a guy is a 7th round pick and becomes one of the strongest, quickest guys in the league you naturally think of PEDs.
when they also lose control where it regularly hurts them most that really points to roid rage type issues.
