Seeing what we see now, do you go the route of paying Cole and letting Dwayne go?

Yes...this is hindsight...and Cole could potentially flip the script...but Harris is having a very impressive season with the G-men given his expanded role.

Reminds me a bit of when Martellus Bennet went to Giants (and then the Bears)...his seemingly limited production here takes a quantum leap in a new environment.

Makes me wonder...we "swapped" Bennet for Escobar and then took/paid Cole over Harris...

Yes, a bit of Monday morning QB-ing here but it can't help but jump out at you.

Harris is and always has been a far better overall football player than the Beaz.
Hugely valuable in being a swiss army knife player. There just aren't many like that....saves roster spots and salary allocation.
Beasley, seemed to be better at getting separation...and that really is about it. Once players jam you at the line of scrimmage, things get tougher.
Guess we'll see if he can look better when Romo gets back. That tends to happen for the team in general.

Hindsight eh?

We should have taken Moss.

I agree...we should have! :)

I knew this would draw a smart arse remark so thanks for popping that cherry ;)

Was watching G-men today in the early game and of course there was last week against us...I had had an odd feeling about when the Giants picked him up that there may be a "Martellus effect" in the offing...hats off to him for cashing in on a contract and backing it up with his play. And good point from other poster that Tony's return good right a lot of wrongs in terms of Cole's performance/stats in the offense.

Thanks for giving me the chuckle!

I feel like Harris is better. He can block, and hes tough, and a reliable returner with leadership.

Beasley all he does is operate out of the slot. He cannot do anything else. No versatility.

Harris wouldn't get more than a couple of snaps on offense here. No use in paying a guy that wouldn't see the field other than as a return specialist.

Which was a terrible misuse by the coaches

So how does he see the field with Beckham and Randel and not here?

That's what puzzles me also...it is a philosophical issue? I don't follow why these players produce elsewhere at such a high level but not here...Romo is every bit the QB Eli is in my opinion (and way better than Cutler) but these guys go elsewhere and put up very good numbers only to be obscure here...head scratcher.

Seriously? Beasley is a much better player.

I had the same opinion (and still do...sort of) when we let Harris go and then signed Cole to the extension...thus far the season not baring out that way, though...time will tell upon Romo's return...I give Beaz the benefit of the doubt until TR is back healthy.

Yeah, and Dez looked like a scrub today. If you don't have QBs that can complete passes other than dump offs, then all of your receivers will look bad.

Beasley is "uncoverable," yet had no catches on the day.

He's another massively overrated player (based on pay and playtime) on this team, joined by T Williams, Free, Carr, etc.

Hard to believe we had so many of them.
