You couldn't be more wrong.
I've watched this play in super slow motion.
His foot that was closest to line and the first foot that moves towards the line touched the ground for the first time closer to the line at exactly the moment that the ball was snapped. He did lean his body towards the line before the snap and started his leg moving in that direction but his foot didn't touch closer to the line until the same time that the ball was snapped. I don't know the detail of the rule in terms of what constitutes moving towards the line, but if it's the 1st full step in that direction then he was not ahead of the snap. Maybe the rule would include the body lean but it seems extremely nit picky considering the level of accuracy by the refs.
