Beating of Alabama man not seen as hate crime, despite claim 'Trayvon' invoked

Ignorant people will try to make this about white and black .... but its really about crazy people vs sane people and the people who just need an excuse too attack.

Kids are gonna be the ones who die because of this mess.

Generally speaking, yeah. The the TM case I think it's more about the case as a whole rather than any certain, single comment that led to it being a "race" issue.

Everyone involved in the beatings should definately go to jail, but why is ok to assume racism when it's black on white crime, but when it's someone on black crime the same people refuse to believe race played any part?

That's what the family has said. Sine we give so much credence to what the Martin family is saying, why not here? Is it really more dishonest?

And considering there is a witness that said it was "Justice for Trayvon" we have to believe that.

I'm not assuming anything I know what many so called black leaders have said it has been their words that have created a divide but then they make money off of dividing people without that they are nothing.

There's about as much substance to that being a hate crime as there is Zimmerman being guilty of such, but EVERYONE takes the marginal Zimmerman evidence to heart.

Zimmerman is guilty of being dumb, maybe a bit racist. But he got where is is from being foolish.

to me atleast, the "they always get away" isn't so much a remark about black people, as much as it is a sign that Zimmerman was more of an agressor than his supporters want to admit. He was determined not to let "this one" get away and created a hostile situation. Just based on your previous comments if Zimmerman thought you were a threat, and treated you the way he treated Martin that night, I'd be willing to bet you would've shot him.

The one that blows me away and that has not been reported very much is the one where the white kid is walking home from school (East Kansas City)and is set on fire soley because of his race. The kids doing it were black kids who were yelling racial slurs while pouring kerosine all over the screaming kid. It reminded me of that junk that went on in Texas about 20 years ago, the other way around. The truck-dragging garbage.

I honestly think the news is afraid to publish some things, but that is beside the point.

The main question is: What is wrong with people (any race) who do anything evil that's racially motivated? It makes no sense whatsoever.

Yea it is, the reason they beat him isn't much better, but I don't see any reason why anyone would believe the mob gathered in an effort to get revenge for Trevon Martin.

I wouldn't have shot anyone until I was attacked. Then I would kill that person. We don't know who attacked who in the Zimmerman case. But this thread isn't about that. BAck to the white guy getting beaten by a mob of black people with pipes, bats and paint cans in retaliation for Martin.

By the way, it goes to show the intelligence level of these idiots. They are taking their rage out on white people when Zimmerman wasn't a white guy.

I agree. Those punks who drug Mr Byrd behind their truck were sick individuals and thankfully have been put to death. This incident about these kids pouring gas on this other kid and lighting him on fire just blows my mind how cruel people can be towards one another for no reason but race.

In the case of Zimmerman the whole thing centered has been portrayed around race and yet there is nothing to prove it was racially motivated. Hell NBC flat out lied and doctored 911 call to try and portray this as race motivated and people who knew nothing of the facts jumped out there and made this about race. Enough is enough playing the race game needs to come to an end.
