Beckham begging not a good look

This thread reeks of hypocrisy. Fans can campaign for every player that runs across the ticker tape, but players can't have a say on who they want to play with? Stop!

They want to add a talented player that they may believe (they may be correct) will put us over the top.
Adding a potentially serious weapon at receiver is only a good thing in my book.

I agree completely. I don’t see how adding talent to make the team stronger fur a possible playoff run is somehow a bad thing?

But I guess you can spin anything as a negative if you want to?

You think that because we are cowboy fans we tend to only hear what is being said here? lol Joe Schoen GM of the Giants is talking OBJ, Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch are talking OBJ and of course the Bills "Bills unveil new strategy to bring OBJ to Buffalo. Buffalo Bills star CB Tre'Davious White is the latest to join the recruiting efforts of his former college teammate Odell Beckham Jr. Buffalo Bills star cornerback Tre’Davious White is tapping into his inner recruiter in hopes of landing the NFL’s biggest remaining free agent in Odell Beckham Jr. On Wednesday, White, who was recently activated off of the PUP list, admitted that his recruiting efforts have ramped up as of late."

This in not just Dallas others have major interest in OBJ and why would these owner, GM and players be interested in OBJ? You think they may know something others do not know? I think many here will look to pound Jerry no matter how this plays out but you are kidding yourself to think Jerry is the only one talking, fact is many do not listen to what others are doing

You wouldn't know this team is 6-2 with a top 5 D and a pretty good path to the playoffs with all of this begging for Beckham to be a Cowboy.

Do they all have to talk about everything?

This team needs to shut up and play football.
I am not so sure I want him. He is coming off another knee injury. Who is to say he can still play at a high level or higher than what we already have now. He is looking for a longer contract and I know he ain’t worth 18-20 million a year. Put in a prove it this half of the year offer. If he takes it then ok. If he shows he can still play then he will have multiple offers this off season.

If he would keep his mouth shut and not telegraph everything, we'd probably be able to get decent trade value for players. For example, there wasn't anyone in the football world that didn't know Cooper would be cut if we couldn't trade him, end result is a 5th round pick for 1st round talent.

:hammer:

I agree and I think be it Dallas, Buffalo, NY or San Fran will want same thing

Yeah he wants to finish his career and have a shot at a ring. I don’t blame him. Give him a try out. Put Diggs on him. See if he can get open.

Good…go to Buffalo!

If he does he does, I would not mind seeing him in Dallas. You think these other teams may know a bit more on the subject. But should OBJ sign else where you can still complain how Jerry does not want a ring because he does not bring in players

Jerry has probably been promoting and suggesting to the spokesmen of this team to shower OBJ with invitations, hoping that somehow OBJ plays here on a cheap, cap friendly
bargain.

That’s exactly what’s happening. And it’s exactly what happened last year when he ultimately took a cheap deal to sign with the Rams. Beckham loves the recruiting process and wants to know that he’ll be appreciated. And that’s exactly what the Cowboys - more than any other team - are doing.

Its not begging

its letting OBJ and management they would welcome OBJ to the team.. as the knock on him is locker cancer,. Doesn't seem like it to me..

But hey CC ie mod why the need for 17 open front page OBJ threads, seems like clutter to me over rumors and begging. Merge them ALL LOL

As far as I'm concerned when they began interviewing coaches on the sidelines during the game nothing's off the table
It's all garbage

Lolol dumb thread. If the public sales pitch to land Odell works and Beckham helps this team; this thread will prove to be stupid. So let’s wait and see what happens before we just to any conclusions. This team needs help. Now the team is interrelated in getting better and we blame them? No. Lol. Dumb.

It starts at the top. Even after all these years it still amazes me how much our owner talks and talks and talks publicly. He is the loosest of GM cannons in sports.

If I was a GM from any of our opponents, it might be worth hiring someone to obtain press credentials just so they could pump Jerry or his lazy son with questions that would reveal some of this organization’s thinking. Especially around draft time. JJ’s already proven he has no qualms showing off the team’s draft board.

I guess it just comes with the “being a Cowboys fan” package that this organization will be a constant live talk show.
Bob, that sounds like some hater or troll stuff. lol

The recruiting will escalate to the point of rolling out a half mile red carpet, with OBJ stitched in with gold thread.
Planes will drag banners saying, "Save Our Season OBJ".
OBJ values his Ego being massaged and being considered the hero as much as a pay day.

I totally agree. Jerry just can’t stop the selling BS. They don’t need to be talking about OBJ.

The trade talk was particularly irritating. Those clowns just need to see themselves on TV and in print. Team is positioned to have a nice run with that defense. Just shut up and play football.
