We aren't the Rams.

If we win it will be because of the defense and the run game.

The Rams won because of the passing game and defense.

It cannot be said enough that we have only won SIX, yes SIX, games in Dak's career where we had less than 100 yards rushing.

We win with the run game, not with Dak passing the ball.

YOU clearly don't pay attention.

So they're not suppose to add talent because you think they should run ...lol that's the dumbest thing I heard...lol no matter how many games they won without 100 yards rushing, which Dak was apart of plenty in 2016. You can win and should add talent whenever you can

you are comparing past season with our CRAPPY defense with this year. We lost in the playoffs against GB with Dak and how many points did the d give up?

Pay attention... this year aint last year or the year before. If you think you will win it all only with defense.. you are nuts.

Yes, I suppose all those “distractions” that coaches have forever been talking about avoiding is just a fan thing.

Its coach speak... otherwise known as excuses. What the hell does taking a team lightly mean? What do players and teams do during the week when they take teams lightly? Do they practice less? Do the coaches spend less time preparing? Nah... its all the same. Then when they lose, the media pops off that the team took them "Lightly." It is all BS. I coached for 20 years... dont even know how to take a team "Lightly."

We’re all entitled to our own opinions.
Yep. Amazing how some can’t arrive there without losing their minds.

Id much rather be wrong and happy. Let’s see what happens.

My gut says he ends up here. I would think his first choice would be LA, but they don’t want to pay him (reg flag, cough cough lol), or Tampa…but each of those teams are off to rough starts and may see no need.

Different debate, but it never should have come to this, and the thing I hope the most comes out of all this, is that they finally learn that you can’t count on mid round picks to immediately replace starters.

That makes sense logically.

Thing is, the guy is a lightning rod.

He has in the recent past complained publicly about not getting targets from Mayfield. Things really blew up from there.

The mild mannered Amari Cooper, who didn’t seem to mind that he was benched when it mattered in 2019, also mentioned that he “can’t throw the ball to himself.”

This team needs to win with defense and running the ball, not Daks arm.

I don’t at ALL want him forcing the ball to a WR he isn’t in full synch with, nor do I want him feeling he has to.

Last thing we need is Dak forcing the ball to him, or Moore feeling forced to pass more when Beckham complains about not being featured.

Im not ignorant to the idea of adding talent makes us better, but this particular one comes with way too many likely negatives for my taste.

My opinion would change by 180 degrees if either Lamb or Gallup go down for the year anytime soon.

well you dont get to have hindsight when adding players. OBJ is going to sign with someone, and lets say it isnt us. Then the next Week Lamb goes down.... you dont get a redo at that point.

Also.... did you sense.... even a little maturity from OBJ after arriving in LA? Were his complaints in Cleveland wrong? OBJ was sick of hearing about the WRs in Cleveland when the problem was CLEARLY Baker Mayfield. OBJ saying he wants to finally put down roots is a sign f maturity to me... but then again, Im all about taking talent all day everyday. Ive made it clear on this board for years now. They can do all the hookers and cocaine they want all week, as long as they score TDs on Sunday, Im all good.

Dak is not a 2nd year QB, if he cant habdle a little chirping form a WR, he isnt half the leader we hear about.

By the way... did you happen to see the video clip of Hopkins asking Murray what he was looking at and them having a little back and forth? Only to have Hopkins say its no biggie? Stuff happens all the time on the sidelines.... but if you are winning it is no big deal. Its only when a team stinks and is losing is it a real problem.

I'm comparing Daks entire career.

6 wins, 6 wins, again 6 wins, and one more time SIX WINS in Daks ENTIRE career when we had less than 100 yards rushing.

OBJ with no knees is not going to be better than Cooper and we did nothing with Cooper.'

If we want to win it will be because of the defense and run game. If we want to lose then let Dak sling it to OBJ.

But hey, by all means, pleaseeee get your hopes sky high. I'm sure that will work out well for ya.

why are you trying to compare past teams when our defense was WEAK with this team? That is flat out dumb. We scored 49 points against the Broncos several years ago, and we lost. Now you could say well we lost because of all those passes Romo had to make... hmmmm, yea, no kidding, because our defense sucked. That isnt the case this year.

Get my hopes all up? i aint a 5 year old kid waiting for Christmas. In the end it makes zero difference to me as Im gonna watch every game exactly the same whether we have OBJ or not.

You wouldn't know this team is 6-2 with a top 5 D and a pretty good path to the playoffs with all of this begging for Beckham to be a Cowboy.

Do they all have to talk about everything?

This team needs to shut up and play football.
I Agree.

I personally don’t see the big deal. I would feel it would come off as more desperate at 2-6 rather than 6-2. Just seems they’re trying to recruit more talent on a potential contender.

I agree, but on the other hand, it’s more about the media shoving mics in players faces and asking.

What are they supposed to say?

This is where Jerry needs to take control of things, but he loves the attention….and that’s part of something this team will have to overcome as long as he is around.
No Comment would be a refreshing change.

It is a beast that feasts on itself because the media knows Booger wants more coverage so they know to go to the players and they think that's part of their job, it isn't.

Oh well, then....
If Von Miller jumps off the cliff will you?
Sorry. Just had to put that in.
:muttley:

No if OBJ ask for a lot then chances are he will not be here. I mentioned Von Miler because unlike fans here he knows, OBJ he has played with OBJ and has a better understanding of OBJ than knuckleheads around here. Would I take Von Miller view over yours on this matter? 100% every time

I don’t see it as begging. I think it’s smart courtship. OBJ want money, of course, but he has made lots of money. All other things being equal, a free agent who isn’t getting his very first big contract, wants to be wanted, not just by the gm, but by the locker room, by the other stars being willing to share the spotlight.

It still may not happen because the Joneses may not want to match some other team’s big offer if it means losing another key player this summer or being limited in pursuing players needed this off-season or next season. But if the offers are equal, players loving on the guy is a smart move.

no comment would be helpful for the team in exactly what way? Would no comment help us protect dak better? Would it help Noah ru better routes? Would it help Diggs have more picks? Nope... its all crap and it is all what works best for YOU. But it has ZERO impact on what happens on Sunday.

I doubt most people other than Cowboys fans even know about the tweets, and so what if they do. It's just good natured Twitter fodder. If Jerry or any of the coaches do it, then I'll be embarrassed.

I think after the GB game most of the ODB talk will quiet down quite a bit. They can win without him, so they should focus on winning.q
