She did, Adam. She did. Albeit without using the word "lie." But the insinuation was ummistakeable.
That's not necessarily true. You can be mistaken or inaccurate without intentionally lying about something. Again, the police report never states that it was a direct quote, so it easily could have been a misinterpretation.
I see. On the one hand we have trained observers. On the other, we have a ditz publicist whose job it is to spare her client shame and embarrassment. You're siding with the ditz.
No, I'm siding with reality. You're siding with perception.
The initial reports ARE the most accurate. That goes double for eyewitness testimony. People's memories fade over time.
This isn't about memories fading, it's about the facts not being clear from the first instant. Recently, EMTs here responded to a call that someone had drowned. When they arrived, the "drowning victim" was miraculously sitting on the shore. She hadn't drowned at all. Nobodies memory faded and nobody was lying. It's just that the initial reports weren't accurate. As Rich said, that's why they investigate matters instead of just relying on the first thing someone says.
It's absolutely relevant. Owens said he took the rest of his pills. So if that's not true, his state of mind at the time he was asked the question has to be a factor. And if he wasn't coherent enough to answer that question correctly, it's certainly not certain that he answered the other question (about harming himself) correctly.
And I assume that by now you realize that the police are disagreeing with you, just like everyone else. So there's really nothing left for you to argue about, except maybe that the police, doctors, Owens, Owens' people and the Cowboys trainers are ALL incompetent liars, since otherwise you'd be admitting that you're completely wrong -- which you are.
