Before going off on the Defense watch the Garrett presser

I just watched the postgame presser with Gruden and then Garrett on the television and cannot find a link yet to provide. Jason Garrett states that the defense played like he wanted other than the long ball to Desean Jackson in the 4th quarter and that this was not about the yards or sacks but winning the game. The boys had to shut down the run game and keep the passing game underneath was his point. This was a great win.

Still can't get much of a pass rush, which will be a problem eventually. But I guess part of this strategy is to compensate for lack of a pass rush.

Hmmm, I posted this exact same thing in the game thread. Our defense doesn't have to be a shutdown defense. We have to be a defense that makes you work for everything you get. We did that for all but one play in the game.

Not surprising. They they let the skins slow bleed on the last drive.

The one bad decision by Anthony Brown was concerning. But I think he learned.

They have a formula. The DJack play almost threw a chink in it but they know how to hold a lead as stress-inducing as it might be for all involved.

This is the strategy and have been the strategy all year. Force teams to march down the field, tighten up in the red zone, and on offense, slowly move the ball down field and score.

It's the 2016 formula, and you can't argue with the results.

Nope... If the offense struggles and we lose then so be it.

Our defense isn't awful.. They get the job done and make teams earn their points.

Not anything we can do about that now. We don't have any other options. We will play to our strengths and try to limit our weaknesses.
