Our OL is vastly over rated IMO. I am surprised Dak got up after so many vicious hits. He was far from perfect. But it's hard to throw on your back.
The Jets OL is a bottom unit in the league. Watch how Darnold slides in the pocket to avoid pressure while keeping his eyes downfield. The Cowboys should not have lost to the Jets yesterday. They are clearly the more talented team. It was a game where a stellar QB performance would have made a difference. They didn't get it. The coaching and defense ultimately lost the game, but a few plays by the QB could have made the difference.[/QUOTE]
Ugh!!
Do you people actually understand how football works?
The Jets were blitzing and it is part of Dak's job to see that and change protections accordingly.
How can you block 7 guys with 6?
"Duurr, oline sucks"
Also, the commentators kept mentioning how the Jets oline had "allowed" a ton of sacks the previous games and Darnold had obly one sack all game. I wonder how the Jets Oline got "better" all of a sudden.. maybe Darnold getting rid of the ball fast and changing protections had something to do with it?
Playing QB is about more than just yhrowing a football, its also a mental game and i think this is where Dak lacks. He's slow to read a Defense and rarely calls audibles and at this point in his career, if they don't trust him to do so, that's all you need to hear.
