I would love to be in the same room as Bill Belichek, Gregg Popovich, Bob Knight, and Bill Parcells together. I bet it would be a riot.

Bobby Knight!,,, remember him slinging that folding chair out in the middle of the basketball court to exhibit his displeasure?,,, he's pretty much a deity in Indiana.

Then say that. It's weird how athletes try to belittle media

Weird? Are you kidding? How about the way the media parses every syllable that comes out of an athlete's mouth and writes whatever the hell they want to about it, whether it's the truth or not? How about the way the media makes stuff up about a couple of words taken out of an entire conversation and presents it as gospel? I don't blame coaches or athletes one bit for getting tired of dumb, repetitive, insulting questions and giving it back to the idiots who ask them.

He is being correct...you have 53 players, 7 will be inactive. So you have 46. A K and a P...you can't rest them...so now you have 44, less the LS.
Now to 43.
You just don't sit 22 players, and play the others, the number do not add up.

You cannot sit them all but you can certainly rotate them and sit key players.

If NFL coaches cannot come up with another way to approach player development for an entire roster then that is pretty sad. Marinelli already has all of his guys play in a game and he is noted for his player development.

I like his answer, and I just don't believe in resting players. Guys like Jaylon Smith and others that get hurt in week 17 or the playoffs or a bowl game are few and far between. We have a rookie rb, qb, and a young secondary/defense that need all the work they can get. This IS their first trip to the playoffs. I can see resting the banged up players like Tyron, Dez, Mo and Oscan...but a regular season game should be played to win, it's not the 4th preseason game.

No one is implicating, nor would they implicate resting everyone. Everyone knows that's not possible. Lol.

But we could rest Dak with Romo ( not that I'd want to because I believe in momentum and rust). We could rest zeke with McFadden. We could rest Dez. We could rest Sean Lee. So the math does add up. I say play the KEY starters half the game. Then rest the key starters as long as we aren't playing for anything but a win.

But Bilecek is being an a#% with that response because he knows that no one is asking him if he will rest 22 players.

Everybody knows that and Belichik knows everybody knows that. He knows what the plan is for that last game too, but he's not gonna tell a reporter all about it. Whoever said it is right: he's being obtuse and ornery with the media. Good for him.

Smith, Leary, Fred and Martin are four of Dallas' key players and if you sit or rest them you sit or rest Dak, Zeke and Dez too, and Romo doesn't see the field. Really hard to put four OL on the bench anyway. Smith and Leary are the ones who really need rest but then the other two are still at risk of injury.

Yeh, Belichick was being Belichick but I think his point is somewhat valid.

It'd be very quiet, awkwardly quiet, with all of them wondering when it was going to end. :)

BB to room: So, is this over?

Room: Yup.

<everyone leaves>
I know they act that way in front of a camera, but I'll bet if you toss in a couple cases of beer you would find some pretty sharp senses of humor. There is something about those former military academy coaches.

I'll take any of them in a political debate with a media moderator.

He's lying. They're going to rotate Romo in on every play that is third and seven or longer
Naw, they do want him to participate, though. Rumor has it, he's been working on his field goal holder skills....it's a work in progress.

Belichick is following the Parcells mantra for working with the press corps, without Parcells' wit:

He's in the information gathering business, not the information dispensing one.

I have no problem with this.

I love Bill, but that is not even an answer, I mean, what????
It was, can only sit a few due to numbers, and he didnt care to even discuss that, waste of time.

I dont remember Brady ever sitting out a meaningless game.

If a team gets ahead, or way behind, then you can pull a few players, But if they are playing bad, maybe they need
to keep playing?

And we eat it up. It's a cycle.

The fans, the athletes, and the media all are equally 33% important in this.

The 1% is

Believe in Belichick. He is a winner and these idiotic football questions must seem completely outregeous to someone like him. So many players got the Club to where it is. Why, on Gods green earth, would a coach take them out? Does he want to start a losing trend heading into the Playoffs...the only part of the season that really matters. lol. The idea is pure madness and makes no logical sense to anyone that wants to win!!
