Believe we are going to see Moore/Nussmeier and Zimmer or Harris

That's what I'm saying, I'm not worried at this point of the hiring process, and the names popping up, because in the end I believe Jerry's list has some names like this on it, as a parachute ,as a fall back like we can always do this if his original idea doesn't workout...

That's always a positive thing is there are going to be a fall back plan there are coaches like him ready to come in and do this job and probably do it just as well as Mike McCarthy maybe with the right coordinators up front instead of making a mistake with Mike Nolan and that was a Mike McCarthy hire instead of making a mistake and making yourself a coordinator when you see it's not working out and don't fire yourself maybe this time it's right from the beginning , successful..
MM should of insisted he run his offense day 1, not use Moore and his scheme.

I think Zimmer to deciding if he wants to continue to coach or not. Losing his son has really affected him.

Harris could very well join MM wherever he lands.

Personally, I rather see a brand new coaching staff not coaches that have been here before or have former Cowboy ties.
Personally it would depend the quality of the coaches... if we have among the better asst. and position coaches in NFL , why give that up ?

The Cowboys appear not to want to start over from scratch, but rather move ahead with this current group of players, more of a retool then a rebuild. I believe they don't want to bring in a completely new system, which is why both Kellen Moore/Doug Nussmeier make a ton of sense. Dak not only has a good relationship with both, but he knows their offensive system/language. This isn't the direction I would go, but appears pointed in that direction.

As for defense, I think it's Zimmer's job if he wants to continue coaching, if he does retire, I fully expect Al Harris to get promoted. He has put in his time and has earned the promotion. Being around Quinn/Zimmer will help him put together a similar scheme with concepts from both.
Hope not

Hasn’t Harris admitted that he never been involved with calling or scheming a defense and that he is a secondary coach that concentrates on teaching techniques for DBs? So not sure he would be ready to be a DC.

Moore/ Harris would be my bet. I think Zimmer retires. I think Harris is ready. Working with two different styles of D has been goid for him I think. Moore and Jerry have a goid relatiobship and every OC or DC wants to be a HC. This is his chance. Jerry has always liked him
I agree. Only way Zim stays is if Deion is the hc.

Thats his problem, since he left DC.com he drifts way out of his depth. Just tell me about OL prospects dude. Thats always been his money spot
I hate to admit it but I think Broaddus is right about Jerry spending money in free agency. I also think we are two great drafts away from being a contender. Not sure if Dak can get us there.

Wasn't Eberflus highly thought about when he was with the Cowboys? I recall a lot of people highly touting him as a potential HC.
I remember when he was the Colts defensive coordinator he dismantled our entire offense. Eberflus would be an upgrade as a defensive coordinator. Sorry Zimmer.

Kellen Moore is worst case scenario IMO…definition of status quo and not disrupting what hasn’t worked for 20 years.

I’d love to keep Zim but we’ll see…Broaddus said on his most recent podcast that Harrris isn’t thought of as highly
in the building as he is externally.
Why exactly would you "love to keep Zim"? It certainly cannot be for results. Do you like mediocrity?

Coaches are important. They're not nearly as important as talent. You can have a meh coach and still be successful with excellent players. The converse is not true, or at least, rarely has ever been.
We'll have to agree to disagree.

Broaddus says he is not hearing good things about Al Harris inside the Star. The former Bears coach, Eberflus, to be part of Kellen’s staff. Goodness I hope someone from outside the organization gets the job like Saleh.
Is he going to teach the team how to defend a hail mary? And how to.her off one play in the last 45 seconds of a game?

Yeah and the logistics of trading Dak will wreck their cap.
No matter what you might hear there is no way Dak is not expected to be the Cowboys starter for the next 3 years. I don’t think Prime would want Dak to be his quarterback anyway. He wants his son and that is it.
