Believe we are going to see Moore/Nussmeier and Zimmer or Harris

I agree, but you know how this front office operates. We could also see Zimmer as HC as they groom Witten.
Witten? Are we grooming him for 5/10 years or do guys just need a year or 2? Dan Campbell coached for 11 years and worked his way up the ladder.

Think they envision something similar to Jason Garrett. Started as a QB coach for a year, came here to become the OC and then became the HC. 2-3 years grooming type of plan for Witten.

Broaddus says he is not hearing good things about Al Harris inside the Star. The former Bears coach, Eberflus, to be part of Kellen’s staff. Goodness I hope someone from outside the organization gets the job like Saleh.
I would prefer Saleh...but then there is the question of the offense. Dallas will NOT win a championship without a run-heavy offense (like 2014)...which is why Moore would be my dead last choice. Prescott will return and be even less mobile than he was before...and consequently even more reticent to run out of the pocket. Run the ball...or stay on the porch and "watch" the Superbowl.

Yeah how did that work out? 10 years of mediocrity. Garrett is out of the league. Prime coaching age and he can’t get a job. 2/3 years??? Come on. As mentioned Campbell coached for 10 years before getting a shot.

If you want to stay the course, this would be the direction they take.
I’d love Johnson but Jerry won’t pay that cost or give any control. He won’t hire prime because he would get more media attention than Jerry does. He’s likely to hire someone he can control and blame when it don’t work. That’s just jerry

The Cowboys appear not to want to start over from scratch, but rather move ahead with this current group of players, more of a retool then a rebuild. I believe they don't want to bring in a completely new system, which is why both Kellen Moore/Doug Nussmeier make a ton of sense. Dak not only has a good relationship with both, but he knows their offensive system/language. This isn't the direction I would go, but appears pointed in that direction.

As for defense, I think it's Zimmer's job if he wants to continue coaching, if he does retire, I fully expect Al Harris to get promoted. He has put in his time and has earned the promotion. Being around Quinn/Zimmer will help him put together a similar scheme with concepts from both.
What a crappy cast!
