That's your take. Follow the thread; no one peed on anything. Most people responded in a pretty civil way even if they had an opposing view point and those people were fairly few.

In any event, do you start a thread where the only responses you look for are those that always agree with you? I thought this was a message board that welcomed differing opinions and subsequent debate which is why we're here. I guess not in your world.

I'm pretty sure everyone here hopes for a victory. Both teams are good, so it's not impossible for us to win. The Saints are a better team though, so chances are they will win. I'm still pulling for the upset though.

The thread was a cheap stunt from the get-go, which is why I analogized it to empty calories. If he's wrong about tonight or the rest of the season, he loses nothing, because "Golly gee, what's wrong with showing faith in the team?" Instead, this was a not so stealthy attack on his fellow fans, who fail to meet his lofty purity standards. Or should I say "fans," which he deliberately put in scare quotes twice. Subtle he ain't. So yeah, when you take transparent cheapshots at other posters under the guise of "supporting" the team (whatever that means), don't be surprised when others notice this and take issue.

I've never participated in a game day thread myself as I just like to watch the game.

That is a tough question to answer because it would certainly be understandable for fans to be frustrated if the Saints jump way up on us.

What I meant with my comment is that I'm sure that every single person here wants the Cowboys to win tonight and is rooting for them to do so.

Do you disagree with that?

Do you think there are members here who WANT the Cowboys to lose?
