You should probably try again with that or do some research.

Anyway.

Sorry if my sig offends you ..... since I did not direct it at you it must be a guilty conscience that is causing you to be offended.

What?

Do some research on what?

Guilty conscience?

I am seriously starting to worry about you. This is only football dude.

Get a grip.

Seriously.

Wow! Some folks, both sides, need to chill out. Cowards? Gutless? Heartless? Geez.

Whether you believe we'll win this week or next has nothing to do with whether you're a fan or not IMO.

I hope like heck we win tomorrow. I hope like heck that win or lose we find a way into the playoffs this year. If that happens, I'll hope like heck that we win the each week that we are still alive. And I would enjoy the heck out of all that.

But I can't sit here in good conscience based upon everything I've seen to date this season and believe (ie predict or expect) that is going to happen. I'm not trashing our team, coaches, or organization in any way with that comment. And I bless those who truly believe we'll do all those good things yet this year. I hope like heck that they are correct.

I have loved following this team for the last 40 years through all its ups and downs. I didn't believe back in 89 (and other similar seasons) that we were going to the playoffs but I still proudly identified myself as a Cowboy fan and excitedly hoped for all things good.

I'll be watching, cheering, and hoping tomorrow night. If we win, I'll be thrilled. If we lose I'll try not to be surprised or too bummed out. Go Cowboys!

Bingo

So many want to point the finger at the fans and the media as the reason for a professional team's failures, when in fact the media and fans are simply responding negatively to the team's inherent deficiencies.

The fact that our team is so mentally soft that some fans are willing to point to nasty morning news articles and say they are to blame for this team's failures speaks volumes about where this franchise is.

Yes, Virginia, it is possible to root for the Boys this week and think that the Saints will prevail. Hell, I had to do that every damn week in 1989. It's called "intellectual honesty," or simply being respectful to an opponent.

When I'm reading this type of thread on the board, I often wonder what do fans from Detroit or Cleveland complain about. What's it like to be a Rams fan or follow the Texans?

No, we are Dallas Cowboys fans.

Win or lose, the Cowboys are the most talked about organization in sports. As Michael Irvin once said, Dallas plays in 16 Super Bowls a year. And the other teams don' care how good or bad Dallas is at that point in time. Teams don't "get up" to play the Bucs or Seattle like they do when the Cowboys are next on the schedule.

Can the team be better? Sure. Are we a Super Bowl caliber team? Right now, no. Wasn't Arizona struggling at this point last year? But they didn't have teams coming at them like they do against Dallas.

Just remember, the Cowboys are loved or hated. There is no in-between. So be a fan. Just remember, thats all we are.

Why do so many threads degrade into proclamations of bizarre ultimatums? Such as:

Or,

If you don't hold my views and opinions, you're a ________ .

Seriously, I don't get it. Theebs' original post had a nice underlying sentiment.

13 years without a playoff win takes a toll on a fanbase, and the fact that some think they have any right to question the outrage of others is annoying, to say the least.

Some are always willing to be positive and see the good that comes out of failure, and that's great if you're 7 year old son just lost a pee-wee game. When it comes to professional sports though, that attitude is a load of crap. This fanbase has become complacent and any little thing gives us hope. There was a time when anything less than 11-12 wins, a division title and a superbowl birth was unacceptable and considered a failure.

A good comparison is the UT fanbase today. Anything less than 14-0 and a national title was going to be seen as a failure this season. Why? Because that fanbase is surrounded by a culture of winning and winning big. That used to be the Dallas Cowboys. Now we're no better than the Eagles fans we love to mock, acting like we've never won anything and grateful to just be in the playoff hunt.

Just having fun, not everything should be taken seriously. Ultimately I don't care how others view the team, I know how I view the team. If they go out and play a good ball game they have a chance to win it, if they don't they won't.

BS,

More blah blah blah without addressing any of the points made.

No wonder you identify with this team so much!

My comments in this thread are specifically related to your comments in THIS thread. You keep avoiding my comments and reaching back into the past to come up with reasons to do so.

More cowardly behavior by the self proclaimed BRAVE BELIEVER.

Nice dodge COWARD!

Jesus you are dense.

Let me explain this real slow for you.

People like you give up on a team so that if they fail you will at least be able to thump your chest about being right.

And as tempting as that may be at some points in the last 13 years, I refuse to become that type of fan.

I will believe in this team every year until its over ..... then I start working for the next year.

None of us have any stake in this team other than emotion. Some let Pride interfere in investing their emotions because they do not want to be wrong (or they feel like "fools" for "falling for it", like 30yard mentioned earlier")

If you do not like me ....... who cares?

Anyone can look at your history and see what your deal is, and trust me ..... I am not the only one who has noticed.

Never argue with "my team right or wrong" extremists. They're so far down in the tank, there can't be any oxygen down there. Instead, keep your eye on the real problem with the team: the fans and the eeeeevil media.

It gets real old and then to boot, if you don't feel the same way they do, you're less of a fan and even a coward. I don't know where people come up with this stuff but I'm starting to think Zrinkill has completely his marbles.
