Early on sure. But you're the one that brought up Romo, and he killed it in the game after breaking the ribs.... so way to change the narrative.... fyi, I'm a fan of both. If Dak was injured and playing that bad, it's up to the backup. If they don't have faith in the backup, they need a new backup.

Yet again you are in need of some educating. The plan was always to get Dak signed after the draft. Not anticipated was the untimely death of his brother, Jace. Now Dak needs time to bury his brother a grieve. Respecting that, the Cowboys FO is delaying the contract signing but it's still going to happen.

Also, that's my exact thought process. I'll root for Dak as long as he wears the Star, and I'll root for this chap the same way. I hope DiNucci does well and that Dak leads us to 6. And competition can be helpful in that way.
 
the guy has poise for days along with razor sharp accuracy. The ball placement is just crazy good. This may be our insurance policy in case something happens to Dak. I told you guys MM was gonna do this before the draft. He has a knack for taking a chance on a QB late. I like his thought process. This dude makes the QB room better.I think he can win games for us in a pinch. I know he's a 7th rounder, but I will say it now, he will be better than Hurts in Philly. We could even see a scenario where he ends up being SO GOOD, that we trade HIM 2 years from now for a boatload of picks. Dak is my guy...but man, you never can have too many QB's that are quality. Cooper Rush is on notice.

Exactly right! I'm glad we have McCarthy here to take a chance like that. DiNucci is going to be tutored by an excellent coach.
 
BTW...THE KID WE SIGNED FROM THE SAME SCHOOL IS ALSO PRETTY DAMN GOOD TOO. I bet he makes the team as well. The edge/OLB guy. I went and watched his tape..dude is a big freaky athlete and plays violent. Its the kind of thuggery we need. We need some bad boys up front. Whats that kids name? I forgot dang it. I just watched his tape yesterday.
 
and the Kamara kid we signed..ANOTHER great get as an UDFA. He plays edge I think. Me things some of the roster and the hangers on will be gone this year after camp. We need new blood.
