No way, he's a human being, not just a piece of meat! :p

Either that, or the helmet in the locker next to his is just really big.

Well, I'm still campaigning for Marinelli to call him Ben 'the Tick' Gardener from now on. :)

#Cowboys not done w Anthony Soencer. But he's told em he prefers to go somewhere to start, rebuild 1-more-contract career. @1053thefan

If that's the case and he thinks he can find more playing time elsewhere, it's time for both parties to say goodbye.

Spencer could start for a number of 3-4 teams. I would guess that may be the scheme he's looking for. Both Spencer and Ware were less than ideal fits at DE in a 4-3.

Are you saying Gardner is the Big Blue Destiny?

"Gravity is a harsh mistress."

I wasn't actually just going with the whole big-body, tiny head thing, but it's kind of hard not to think of The Tick when you nickname somebody The Tick, I agree.
He does have a really tiny helmet, though.

Ben 'Micro-Head' Gardener. Ben 'the Tick' Gardener.

Is it just meet, or does that look like a youth helmet in that pick there?

Yes, or they signed Aaron Gibson and gave him the locker next to Gardner.

(When Gibson played for the Cowboys they had to get his helmet from his previous team because it required a custom order to get one big enough to fit him)

He is a man-tick-trex. Body of a man, head of a tick and arms of a trex.

Spencer thinks he's going to find a better chance to start somewhere else? Really? Hardy is likely to be out some games, Lawrence is a rookie from last year who was out most of that time, and Mincey is a journeyman who had a solid but certainly not spectacular year. He also visited Seattle a couple weeks back. Was he thinking they were going to start him? lol

You might think it sounds funny and i agree ..... But sounds to me like he feels he can produce and be a starter and by what i saw towards the end of last season...he might very well be right

As they should be, alot of people have really high hopes for lawrence...but im not one of them...Spencer was getting some real pressure against the lions although im a little disappointed that we are prolly gonna lose Spencer im quite okay with it

Wow. Good recall on that one. I remember that happening at the time because it reminded me of my father in law, who has to get even his baseball caps specially made because nothing off the rack will fit him. My kids were both c-sections, in case you're wondering.

Where is he going to find a better opportunity to start? I don't think those opportunities are out there at this point in free agency.
