#93 is good. Gardner is one of the pups I am looking for to take a big step forward this camp and play a major role in the DL rotation. I know he hasn't proven anything yet and was a 7th round pick, but had a season ending pectoral injury which hurt his chances, probably would have been a mid round pick. Has a great motor, instints, smart, disruptive and can put pressure from the inside----probably does this better than coming around the edge Oh, and he also plays with a mean streak.
The guy was all Pac 12--first team as a 5th year senior. Not known much is that he was the DE that perhaps helped teammate OLB Trent Murphy lead the nation in sacks. Murphy was taken in the 2nd round by the skins. And guess what number Murphy was---yep, #93. So the man has skills, just needs to be healthy in camp to display them.
Question is.... If he signs somewhere else... Do we get a comp pick...
Good catch.
It's time to move on from Spencer, I think.

Ben 'Micro-Head' Gardener. Ben 'the Tick' Gardener.
Is it just meet, or does that look like a youth helmet in that pick there?
Sharing a number with another player, as is the case here since Spencer is also listed as # 93, spells doom for both guys IMO. There are several others sharing numbers this offseason: 43, 56, 58 and 93, and I dont expect any of those guys to make the team.
Keith Smith doesn't even where #43 anymore, nor is he a safety. He wore #57 when he was activated from the practice squad as a backup OLB.
OK, he won't make it with 57 or 43. He's just too slow and too small for LB.

It's not just you.
I love his effort tenacity and all that. I watched a few games of him from Stanford but dear goodness is he a t. rex.
