Some people call these reach extenders. Gardner calls it a toilet paper helper.

Ben 'Micro-Head' Gardener. Ben 'the Tick' Gardener.

Is it just meet, or does that look like a youth helmet in that pick there?

Only you would notice that. :) This is how they did LOTRs. Large to the forefront and small in the back.

Perhaps it also means that we are high on Donald Hawkins if Gardner wasn't given #71 back.

I wouldn't mind grabbing his former teammate, Henry Anderson, with our 4th round pick......Actually, there are 3 DEs with 4th round grades that I like a lot......Za'Darius Smith (Kentucky), Anthony Chickillo (the U), and Henry Anderson (Stanford).

Cant wait to see this guy on the field. He was my pet cat months before the draft last season. I think he could offer a lot of versatility along the line.

I'm right there with you. Hopefully he is in the middle of a serious off season program right now.

Best news ive heard in a while, finally clear heads prevail. Let him walk and any fan who thinks he deserves to come back after watching that disaster. Move on and dont look back.

It's not just you.

I love his effort tenacity and all that. I watched a few games of him from Stanford but dear goodness is he a t. rex.

you hear scouts terminology all the time and take it for granted, tight hips, small hands, etc..
But this pic really brings you into focus,, thems some of the shortest arms Ive ever seen on a human that size, almost like its photo shopped.
He must have to ask someone to scratch a back itch between the shoulder blades.

RS, just make sure your tattoo is spelled correctly... "Later Loser" with an "s" and not a "z".

a Z or an S is ok (Z's got style!), just as long as it's not spelled with two O's. <shudder>

Might do well as occasional SDE and nickel DT. Rookies almost always have a learning curve. He'll get caught with containment, over rush and lose lane integrity, and things like that. So rotationally and as a spare DL he could make the 53.

Kind of weird they did that. You'd think they would wait until they knew for sure he wasnt coming back.

When Spencer told them he wanted to go elsewhere, we apparently said "the door is right over there".

I like Spencer, but the reality is that he was never the same after microfracture surgery. Not surprising, most athletes are a shell of their former selves afterwards.

Microfracture is like what ACL was 15 yrs ago.

"The team could easily rearrange the numbers if they do in fact decide to re-sign Spencer. But Spencer is a former first-round pick and a Pro Bowler – an eight-year starter with 33 sacks and 385 tackles to his name.

If the Cowboys intended to bring him back for 2015, it’s doubtful they’d give his number away at all."

A quote that makes absolute sense to me...
