Ben Johnson isn't going to the highest bidder. He is being very selective in where he lands b/c he knows you can't win without certain pieces in place.

Donors would pony up to get him. The point is Johnson will have a variety of opportunities which translates to significant compensation. The organization that secures his services will have to pay, a lot. He had no issue cancelling an interview with the Commanders to remain the OC of the Lions.
Lol,
No one wanted that commanders position.
His contract demands are going to be limited to his being an entry level head coach. He’s not anymore a genius or special hot new OC than anyone of the others hottest new thing over the years. The people doing the hiring aren’t dumb and understand he has the luxury of coaching a stacked team!

I like the idea of a solid DC or OC in the NFL and this is their first HC job in the NFL . It’s worked out well in other markets .

If true, this should kill any talk him being the Cowboys next HC

Jerry was never going to bring in Ben Johnson. He rejected the Washington job because he wanted more power and control. I hope the team that he coaches has similar weapons as the Lions because he seems to think he is the “Man”.

I mean the teams that need coaches are heavily flawed. He’s not gonna have the chance to go to a team with good pieces.

Jerry is going to hire someone that he and his family feels comfortable with. I think Kellen Moore and Jason Witten fit that criteria. Especially since both have good relationships with Dak. Belicheck will get an interview but if he is hired all the “yes” men in the front office would have to be fired. I just can’t see that happening especially with the idiotic trade we just made.

He’s going to have better opportunities than being head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. He would never consider any offer from Jerry Jones. If the Cowboys were the only offer he’d choose to remain with Detroit in his current capacity.

i donnt hav a problem with Ben Johnson putting is price tg out there as such.

You ride with the market value and demand given to you.

It may not get at the 15mill price but that's the rate priced at what it would take to get him.
and then i could a mid - ground at maybe 7-8 million..

The hype and rave of the Detroit Lion scoring machine that has taken the NFL by storm greatly and unquestionable contributes
to Ben Johnson's mania.. and he capitalizing on it . i don't blame him at all.

But as said earlier, i'd start looking for the next best option as an offensive mind. And i truly believe Jerry is gonna want that
" genius"" offensive mind to bring out the best in his highest paid QB in the NFL in Dak Prescott.

That's something a Bill Belichek ..or a Mike Vrabel is not gonna do.. and we've seen Belichek's yucky choices of OC's . I wouldn't take that
chance in if I were Jerry...

- As also mentioned, ..i'm already looking very heavily at Tampa Bay Bucs OC Lien Cohen .. who not only has done wonder works for QB Baker MAyfield
but has determined remarkable efficiency for the Bucs offense without two of the starting WRs, .

- I love his work in the run game,... involves RBs in pass game ....pushes ball downfield,.... and has misdirection designs,.... pre-snap moving formations and schemes his receivers open .

There are lots of excellent OCs out there they can choose from..........not to mention, Jerry isn't hiring a coach who can't get the most out of Dak.

What is he making in Detroit? 2-3 million? Seems dumb to make salary demands before you’ve proven anything as a head coach.
Ask around in here, he's the great coach ever, that's what everyone is making him seem like

What does that have to do anything?
