By the way, I said they don't do this IN THE PLAYOFFS, not when playoffs are out of reach during the regular season. Entirely different scenarios.

Because the only way for you to claim my response had nothing to do with the tweet is to deny those comments were made.

As for Dak putting up meaningless stats late in the game, I never said otherwise. I just said I didn't care for it as a derogatory term because those situations just go with the territory of being an NFL QB sometimes.

Dak had 1 TD, 2 INTs, and less than 200 yards passing with 6 mins left in the game and the Cowboys were down 48-16.

There doesn't need to be a decision when there are plenty of facts out there. The Cowboys have replaced Dak many times in lopsided regular season games, and teams don't routinely pull their starting QB when they have a big deficit in the playoffs.

Very astute observation and correct. Moreover, his stats are also the result of his contributions to several of the teams that we blew out this year. Was Dak supposed to hand the ball to the RB all the time so as not score too many points?

no, of course not, but those stats are meaningless and poor predictors of anything.

Dak definitely bears his share of blame. There is no question about that. But the "stat bandito" comment is kind of nonsensical . Why would anyone expect when the Cowboys got way behind they wouldn't air it out trying to score points? That would be the case for any team with any QB in that situation.

Green Bay had benched their entire defence and offence at this stage. Dak put on 200 yards in the last 6 minutes of the game.. it was an embarrassment to US.. it made us look like chumps. The score is 48-16.. the game is done.. everyone is going home. GB have their hats on, they are taking the tape off.. and Dak is running around padding his stats against a third string D in 'prevent' mode. There were several plays where they only had 2 down linemen.. one play they rushed one dude.. I mean they were more interested in getting no injuries. It was a joke.

The better move would have been to bench Dak.. put lance in the game and let him have a run around. I would have also pulled Lamb and Ferg, martin and smith. I've said before and I'll say again.. if Martin or Lamb rupture their ACL while we are out there trying to score 4 converted TDs in 6 minutes with no time outs.. who looks foolish then?? It was idiotic, selfish and it means (as usual) all Daks stats should have an asterisk beside them.

I didn't say the added stats were meaningful.

I just said that's what a team in the situation Dallas was in would do.

Of course GB benched people. They still have more games to play, so they don't want anyone dinged up. The trailing team is just trying to show a little fight to end the day and season. No reason to fault Dak for that.
