Best QB they've ever had.

This type of thing saddens me only because it means I'm getting old.

I remember him sitting in the green room at the draft miffed that he was getting snubbed.
Is he related to Rodgers???

Not taking anything away from his natural talent , but I wonder how his stats would look if any of his offensive lines over the years actually got called for holding penalties?

The thing about Big Ben is that because of his size and probably some because of his nickname refs allowed defenders to hit him. Had he been protected the way the league has protected Brady he'd still be playing at a high level. His body has taken too much pounding over the course of his career and it caught up with him. He was a great player.. but as someone already said.. Father Time is undefeated.

Same thing was done to Cam Newton too.

He held on far too long - has been completely washed for years. I’m surprised they kept rolling him out as a starter year after year.

Fantastic career though and he was very good in his younger days.
No one can convince me Brady hasn’t been taking HGH or PED’s to help further his career. No one gets better as they get older into their 40’s. He’s stronger than he ever has been. He is definitely taking stuff.

Started lifting weights at 15 for football, and never stopped, 40 is not old when it comes to staying in shape.

Older Guys Can Still Make Gains
University of Oklahoma researchers compared people of different ages who followed the exact same program for eight weeks. They found that guys between 35 and 50 years old built just as much muscle as those between 18 and 22 years old. DEXA (duel-energy x-ray absorptiometry) scans showed that the college-aged men gained around two pounds of muscle, while the middle-aged men put on 2.5 pounds of muscle. Moreover, strength gains in both the bench press (7 pounds for the college-aged men and 14 pounds for the middle-aged men) and leg press (55 pounds for the college-aged men and 40 pounds for the middle-aged men) were similar in both groups.

Seriously doubt a guy like Tom Brady thinks he needs any help from drugs.

You beat me to it.. I was quite a bit stronger in my 40's than I was in my 20's and 30's. What I was not was faster.. I started slowing down as I approached 40 but kept getting stronger throughout the process. I ran my PR in the 100 meters at age 35.. but my best bench press happened at age 41.. Even now I think I am stronger than I was in my 20's.. I could break my 25 year old self in half.... if I could ever catch him..

I was far stronger in my 40's to 50's than I was before that, I was handling more poundage as far as reps/sets go. Obviously I'm not building additional muscle anymore but I am holding on pretty good, the only real difference is my cardio isn't where it once was, I get pooped mowing the lawn.

LOL! I know the feeling!! I do still drag myself to the track three times a week just because I don't want to turn into a big tub o lard and I really do enjoy the feeling of sprinting.. Even if it's no longer very fast. But it does keep my cardio up pretty good.. My resting heart rate generally sits in the high 40's and BP is 120/80-ish.. I recommend sprinting highly as a means of retaining cardiovascular and muscular health ... Not jogging.. sprinting..

i'm surprised that Tomlison allowed this to go on so far ... Ben is so slooow , and makes the offense even slower ... it's not like he has Brady like quick delivery.

he drops sets slowly, and holds and holds the ball, and it seems to take some for more vertical throws to get to the downfield targets,

And they have no heir apparent set up to replace Big Ben ,,, Ole Rudy ain't happenin' .. good luck finding a 2nd rd pick..

Rapsit-burger should be in the clink right now. His career should have been over years ago.

Its crazy if i'm not mistaken that was the Eli and Phillip Rivers draft wasn't it? Had a damn good career.
Yep all 3 same draft class.

Just to put into perspective how long ago that class was that was the draft class that the cowboys drafted Julius Jones and Patrick Crayton  (it's crazy that Ben is still playing, feels like 20 years ago)

Wow....I remember watching that draft too.....A lot of people said Big Ben could be the sleeper and best QB in that draft.....they ended up right.

Staubach led NFL in passing yards the season he retired.

This may be the first public indication that he's made. But everyone knew this was coming at the beginning of the season.
