They might cut Diggs.

He reportedly irritated the team by not rehabbing correctly.

Probably won't be ready for game 1.

Bland is free agent after 2025 season. Hard to pay both CBs big money.
Won’t cut Diggs this because his contract has injury provisions. Bet they keep Bland over him 2026.

We’ve taken 1 CB early in like the last 5 years (Diggs) so that’s also false.
You should try Google sometime and look up some quick stats before posting next time. You wouldn't sound so foolish.

Cowboys used a 2nd round pick (Kelvin Joseph) and 3rd round pick (Nayshon Wright) on CBs only 3 years ago during the 2021 draft.

That's besides using a 2nd round pick (Trevon Diggs) in 2020. Plus, a 2nd round pick (Chidobe Awuzie) and a 3rd round pick (Jourdan Lewis) in 2017.

All high Day 2 2nd & 3rd round picks.

You were saying???

Ah forgot about Joseph. I stand corrected…we’ve drafted 2 2nd round CBs in the last 5 years and 0 1st rounders.

Still not “taking a CB in the 1/2 rounds every year” like you indicated…not even close.

LoL take it easy pal…so the last time we used one was 2021 (not every other year). Move along.
It's every other year if you add in later round draft picks, but you get the point. Cowboys have not avoided addressing the CB position. They simply have sucked with their early round CB picks.

Well later round draft picks is a completely different discussion isn’t it…

Morrison is a stud. If healthy, he'd be a Top 3 CB taken.

But we've been burned before on guys coming off injuries and a guy having hip surgery scares me. More than likely, he'll be fine but with the way stuff goes wrong in Dallas, I get nervous about a guy coming off surgery.

So since we have a bunch bodies that aren’t very good we shouldn’t continue to add talent?

I disagree strongly.
Agreed.

That being said, they aren't cutting Diggs and because the Cowboys literally do nothing in FA, not sure it would be wise to draft a CB in the first. The Cowboys handcuff themselves with their beyond stupid FA plan. If they actually attacked FA like say the Eagles, and filled holes, yeah if Morrison is there you consider taking him.

But the fact they will have no depth at DE most likely, they still have zero quality DTs, may need a legit WR to pair with Lamb, need a TB so we can dump Elliott and could use a S, it's kind of hard to use that 1st pick on a CB IMO. If you are going ND defensive backs, Xavier Watts is a better fit than Morrison given the roster and how dumb Jerry and Stephen are.

If I was Morrison I would think hard about coming back. Going into the draft after being injured and having surgery is not good.

Now of course he has to weigh that against maybe not having a good season next year or getting injured again. There is a huge falloff after the first rd as regards money.

If you’re going top 20 no reason to return imo

True. BUT is he? The board that gives recommendations to pro prospects is usually pretty decent about its evaluation of a players draft status. I imagine he will wait for that and see.
