Not anywhere near as bad as every era since!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I didn't say it was horrible, although the were certainly some of the most horrible acts in music history: Madonna, Culture Club, Adam Ant.
There were some great ones too, like some of the ones listed previously in the thread. But the typical 80's bands were, as a rule, crap.
No doubt lane. To me his verson of tuesdays gone rips me to my soul. I was only 13 at the time i saw him thanks to my older brother and his friends I will never forget it thats why i post skynyrd over and over. cant help it lol.You got to see Lynyrd Skynryd before the plane crash ..............you are one lucky man.
90's actually had some good stuff, but when it got to where I preferred country, I knew it was just about over for rock as I know it.Not anywhere near as bad as every era since!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lots of today's country is very similar to soft rock from the 80's.90's actually had some good stuff, but when it got to where I preferred country, I knew it was just about over for rock as I know it.
Oh, I don't listen to today's country......Bleh. 90's through about 2005. There's very little new music that I can listen to from any genre. Probably the newest album I have is Evanescence. My nephew made a CD of a bunch of Taylor Swift songs and gave it to me. I listened to it and gave it back because to me, it sounds like the stuff Avril Lavigne refused to record.Lots of today's country is very similar to soft rock from the 80's.
