wow.. this is a good one..
Way too many songs to choose from.You could easily pick a best song for each year of the 80s and have a gem. My vote goes to Money for nothing, Dire Straits is probably one of the more underrated rock bands of their era. Since someone already picked that one here's another:
me tooI always liked Cinderella. It surprised me they weren't bigger.
And a really good story teller. I've got most of his releases after Dire Straits and could listen to them for hours. The sound quality of the recordings is top notch.Dire Straits has a fantastic library of songs, and Mark Knopfler is one of my favorite guitarists.
Maybe not the best of the 80s, but one of the best damn intros for sure.
It was a super great period.If we're talking about the best song to come out in the 80's.... I'll have to get back to this.
If we're talking about the most quintessentially 80's song.... Hungry Like the Wolf - Duran Duran....80's wasn't a great period, musically speaking.
