Not really. I don't really know that many actresses. I think actors and actresses bring different things to the table. When you say actor. Do you mean actresses also?

Highlighted part is why I think Oldman is one of my favorite actors. When he is playing a part I never think, "Oh, that's Gary Oldman". Many times I wouldn't even know it was him playing the part until the credits came up. He is not Samuel L. Jackson, because I KNOW it's Samuel L. Jackson in every part he plays. It's beyond annoying. I agree with Mel Gibson as well.Personal idiocies aside, Mel Gibson is an extremely good actor, and Brad Pitt won me over with his performance in Interview with the Vampire. I also like Sir Patrick Stewart. Agree with @timb2 about Ed Norton too...but I don't really find Clint to be that good an actor. I've never seen much emotional range from him. I also agree with the OP about Gary Oldman, and I think a good indicator of his acting ability is that it quite often takes me a while before I realize it's him playing a particular role. He'll look very familiar, but he plays each character so differently that I don't usually recognize him at first.
I have no idea who this is.
I think Daniel Day-Lewis is pretty damn good. DiCaprio has really washed off the cheesy stink of Titanic with some of his latest work.
Tom Hardy is pretty solid. I really like Emily Blunt, but maybe that's just a crush.
I think Anthony Hopkins or John Malkovich has to be there on the male actor list.
I think Rooney Mara is an excellent actress as well. She may be the best female actress today.
I was about to add that Hanks is one of a small handful of actors that always deliver a very good performance. It's Tom Hanks. Just the body of his work, to me, is enough to make that statement. He doesn't do bad movies, he's always very good in anything he does and his movies make money, for the most part.

Yeah, I almost listed Robin Williams, but for that.Chiwetel Ejiofor
Margot Robbie
Chadwick Boseman would have been my automatic choice over Ejiofor if not for the 'alive' criteria.
Oh right, the psycho. I knew I recognized him, but couldn't place himHe is in "Van Helsing" and plays a deaf guy. Very convincing. I don't know if he is the best living actor though.
Gene Hackman.
I like him, but he's pretty much the same in most of his roles, so it seems less like acting and more like being Kevin Costner reading lines.I'd say Kevin Costner is probably in the smaller group as well.

I agree, he's talented, and I think Yellowstone might be his best work, and a departure from his usual demeanor. In most of his movies he has sort of a lost in thought look most of the time, regardless of his emotional state.I don't know. I mean, you are right, he has a very specific style for sure. But I mean, Draft Day, Hidden Figures, Love of the Game, Swing Vote, Thirteen Days, Perfect World, 3K to Graceland, Body Guard, Dances With Wolves, JFK, Robin Hood, Field of Dreams, Bull Durham, Untouchables, Silverado, No Way Out, Tin Cup and then does a TV series like Yellow Stone that is probably the best TV on TV right now. I mean, he's pretty talented IMO.
