Best Metallica Song?

Just wanna throw in a quick little story here about Metallica, saw them with Ozzy{as opening act} in 86. They were literally booed off the stage and rightly so, being that their sound was horrible. They sounded like a huge wall of noise with one instrument not being distinguishable from the next. Of course it didn't help that 99% of the audience was there to see Ozz. Bet their sound person got a royal chewing after the show.

Wow, that's crazy, Achilles. Back in 83 or 84 my husband (Lane on here) went to see Ozzy with Motley Crue opening, they had just released Shout At The Devil, and weren't huge quite yet. When Crue exited and Ozzy came on stage, the whole crowd was screaming, "Crue! Crue! Crue!" I guess it happened at all the concerts, because eventually it got so bad that Ozzy had to kick them off, they were just too big by that point I guess. Crazy that Metallica would get booed off. Actually, it's crazy that Metallica would be opening for another band in 86. lol. I bet that sound guy did get a royal hiney chewing after the show, you are right!

I have always loved Whiskey in A Jar or Anywhere I Roam.


Of course Enter Sandman, Unforgiven, and For Whom the Bell Tolls are also all fantastic.
