Wrong, it's fans like you that have not accepted Tony and Daks roles. The controversy is over, let it go.
You must not understand the fire that burns in Romo if you think the controversy is over.

Just wait until Dak hits a rough stretch.

Not to mention how many fans are still loyal to Tony Romo. The controversy is over as long as Dak performs at a high level and wins. Dak starts throwing more interceptions and loses a few games the controversy will be back on

This controversy with fans is also being fueled by those who never really believed in Romo anxious for his era to end latching on to the first new shiny object they saw.

There's deeply rooted underlying agendas everywhere .

This is a good enough team Romo could perhaps have gone deeper than he's been in the playoffs if he could have stayed healthy.

Then we have fans who see an opportunity to finally shut the door on Romo's best quest for a championship to validate his career versus those who have never believed he was good enough.

Fans from both sides who have 10 years invested in being right or wrong .

When and if Dak hits a rough stretch he will still keep his job as the starter just as Tony did as the starter and would hit a rough stretch. Dak is more than the present QB, he is the future QB and now that the switch has been made we have to stick with that decision. Only injury to Dak will put Tony back on the playing field in a Cowboys uni.

No we don't have to stick with it. You might want or think so but I promise you Jerry doesn't .

There's still some season to play out here. And Romo never had anyone on the bench behind him like he is . We called it Romo friendly. Heehee

You just refuse to accept the Romo era is over for the Cowboys. What's it going to take to get you to accept it, trading Romo? It's coming this summer 2017.

Boy this Romo love is bordering on delusional. I have never seen this before for a QB with marginal post season success. Very good QB but people need to move on, enjoy the season we are have having.

I've never seen anything like this. Lets trash the Qb that got us to 8-1.

Tony didn't replace an injured QB, he replaced a sucky QB who was a statue in the pocket. Dak replaced an injured QB so as long as he wins he starts, but just ask Osweiler if that is always permanent

After taking the team to an 8-1 record, it doesn't matter how Dak got the job. He has it and he's keeping it. Osweiler had different decision makers that didn't stick to their decisions the way ours do. You are hoping Dak screws up bad enough so that Tony gets the job back. That's just sad... let it go.

The unsung and overlooked beauty of Dak is that even when he is not at his best and looks shaky, he still finds a way to pull the team back together and win the game mostly because he hasnt turned the ball over multiple times and given the other team easy points so Dallas is still in the game. When Romo is not at his best, the team seldom recovers and gets blown out because Romo turns the ball over. When Dak is shaky, it's just inaccurate throws. With Romo, it's poor decisions which lead to turnovers.

That's just silly. Inaccurate throws can be picked, too.

We have 10 years of tape on Romo. How bout we continue the path that has led us to 8-1?

I think that's the plan. The only way Romo gets a shot at getting the job back is if Dak falters, and falters badly. If that happens,we would have already diverted from the path that led us to 8-1.

The decision makers in Denver seemed to have the right idea I think, or is their end result last year bad. I am not hoping for anything, I want us to win, but if we cease to win I want us to make a change that would allow us to win again. Make no mistake, the next 3 weeks will be the toughest of Daks career. I want us to win them, but if we are to lose (twice mind you) then it tells me Dak probably doesn't have what it takes to make it in the playoffs yet so why stick with him?

Denver's situation is nothing like the Cowboys. Osweiler isn't even a part of that team anymore. You keep making comparisons that don't apply. Of course you want us to win, that is the bottom line. Why are you talking about if we cease to win and why would that be Dak's fault? There is no reason for next three weeks to be any different than the previous eight. But even if we do lose two of the next three games, that will give us a record of 9-3... that doesn't mean anything about our chances in the playoffs. What you are saying is nonsense. Dak is allowed to lose games, Brady does it, Romo does it, every QB loses sometimes. You insisting that Dak be perfect or loses his job is ridiculous.

So he got the starting spot because he's winning, but if he stops winning he keeps it. Got it. BTW can you list all the rookie QBs to win a Super Bowl or at least name 3 of them.

Can you list the amount of times Romo has gone to a Super Bowl? Or a championship game? 10 years...

I have time to kill. Go ahead.

I can't do that, I can list a few QBs who went to their first Super Bowl when they were as old or older than Romo though. Elway is most notable among them, Gannon, Tarkenton, and Unitas are the others. So how about the list I asked for of rookie QBs to win a Super Bowl? Just 3 of them.

Now you are moving the goal post. Before you didn't say "stop winning", you said "losing 2 of the next 3 games", that's not the same thing. Losing 2 of the next 3 games is not enough for Dak to lose the starting job. If he stops winning all together of course he's going to lose the starting job. BTW I'm not here to answer your trivia questions.

So how many games would you like us to lose before we make a change? 4? 5?

P.S. My trivia question is a really really really short list. I'll give you a hint, you already listed all of them.

Edit: It's you who are moving the goal posts... you first said he will only lose the starting job if he gets injured.
