Better Call Saul starts this weekend

His character seems to be much better in this series than Breaking Bad. Well, the acting is just better, really.

Well, in BB his character was a full blown meth addict and he came across as a hothead full of rage and unpredictability. In Better Call Saul he seems much more cold and methodical. Perhaps he's not using the product himself yet.

In the end I feel like his drug abuse is what let Walt get the upper hand on him.

agreed. i loved every moment/second of BrBa. The so called filler episodes to me were breathing episodes. Take a deep breath and then BOOM exhale episodes came after. Calm before the storm sort of thing. Its like saying watching football is boring because when the team goes into the huddle there is no action. The huddle is necessary (for the most part unless no huddle like eagles lol) to every football team for obvious reasons. But yeh to each their own. I don't demand people like BrBa. I can respect differing opinions. I cant get into the Walking Dead but a lot of folks enjoy it.

Very well put!

"Stuff" is really taking off this 3rd episode. I'm officially hooked in now.

Edit: Don't want a ban for using the s word, which in my excitement I did initially. I predicted zero of what happened in episode 3 coming prior to viewing it.

Great writing. Can't wait for episode 4 now.

I like the show, I watched the episode before work, I still have 10min left. He needs a better intro song.

Man, you see how things spiral out of control into worlds he wants no part of.....

Same for formula they used for WW.

I would live to see an episode with WW doing something that we may have seen in BB.... while Saul walks by or WW is in background or something. Lol

I was really skeptical when I heard they were doing this show, but once again AMC has pulled it off. Just shows what quality writers with a good plot and acting can do. I am hooked.

What was the hustle Saul was running in the opening scene? Was the fat guy wearing a fake Rolex or something?

Me too. I thought there wouldn't be enough to run with.... Boy are they running.

Yes... So essentially they got $500.00+ for a fake Rolex.

Yeah.... But.... Come on.... Rolex ($15k plus)or not.... Who says here's $500+ when doing that lol

Yeah, I would just say *** it I'll take the cash on the chance that the watch is actually a "Faux"-lex. Liking the show more and more. Watching the transformation of Jimmy to Saul is great.

See him "schooling" Nacho.... Lol

Teaching these guys ... Telling them not to do dumb things.... to be "smart"

I remember reading an interview where the actor said he really didn't like playing Tuco and he told the writers to kill him. He was originally supposed to last a lot longer. Since he agreed to come back, he must have felt the character was different (assuming he doesn't just need the cash).

In BB, once he became the main meth distributor for the Albuquerque area, he was obviously addicted himself and not very bright as a result. Remember Walt basically blew up his office (his first real act as Heisenberg), and would have been able to poison him with Ricin, had his invalid grandfather not warned him.

For people who wanna watch this series...you had better take a weekend and watch all of the Breaking Bad series. I can't imagine trying to watch Saul without watching BB. You would be missing alot of the intended meaning of each scene....and completely lost.

I'm loving this show so far. Much more subtle than breaking bad.
