Okay. So W/L is a QB stat then?

I can play that game then.

Wilson is 9-7 in the playoffs with a Super Bowl victory and another Super Bowl appearance.
Dak is 2-4 with two Wild Card wins.

Why do I feel like you don't want to do the W/L is a QB stat thing now?
Russell Wilson career win percentage .614

Dak Prescott career win percentage .667

What else you got?

"Deserve" has nothing to do with market rate. This is what so many people get hung up on. It is simply next man up. None of these choke in the playoffs qbs are worth over 20 mil per year. We all know that.

But market rate will dictate pay not playoff success until the owners stop falling for the oke doke.
I actually agree with your last statement. So who's going to put a stop to it? Why not Dallas? Why not now?

Call his damn bluff. He's making a ton off the field as well simply because he's the starting QB of the Dallas cowboys. And he knows it. Let him go to some lesser market/lesser national following team and see if he's still making millions shilling mattresses and yogurt without deep playoffs runs to back it up

He doesn't hold all the cards. Unless Jerry lets him. Which I don't think he should. JMHO

1. I want to start by saying Dak has about 80 more pass attempts than Wilson this season, so keep that in mind.

2. Dak has 800 MORE passing yards, but only 4 more TD passes. Again, 80 more pass attempts for Dak.

3. Wilson has more rushing yards and TDs than Dak, not by much at all, but still more.

4. Wilson has rushed for 38 first downs this season compared to Dak's 21. Wilson does what we all beg Dak to do in this category.

5. Probably the most important and most intriguing thing is that Wilson will be cheaper than Dak and he's at the perfect age where we can start to transition to a younger guy in a few years. Dak might be around for another decade (who really wants that?).

6. The team is ready to win NOW. This isn't a rebuild like Denver is considered. Sean Peyton is starting all over.

7. Wilson is an undeniable upgrade in terms of talent and skill. You give him Lamb, Cooks, Gallup, and Fergie and let him cook.

8. Wilson is the answer to the "if not Dak who?" question. Wilson is the "who". He is the upgrade that will be available.

Let Russ cook in Dallas.

What do you have against this?
The simple and honest answer, even though they won't admit it, is they'd rather lose with Dak than win with anyone else

It's the classic Dak over Dallas fan mentality that you've mentioned in the past

Russell Wilson playoff win percentage .563

Dak Prescott playoff win percentage .333

That's what the difference between a winner and loser looks like.
Please explain to me why this makes a difference to Jerry? I see you neglected to answer that question.

I concur. But the owners are greedy and scary. This is why they came up with things such as rookie contracts and the franchise tag. They are scared of big name players entering the free market and do everything they can to hinder such activity

Jerry shouldn't entertain the cheaper, better, proven winner option?

I know you and the other Dak fans aren't concerned about things like winning and talent, but maybe, just maybe, Jerry wants to win one again in his old age.

Sadly you're not wrong on this point

They are making money hand over fist and as long as that continues the rest is just details to most of them

If Jerry wants to win one SB in his old age, why does he refuse to change his methods?

Maybe morality will finally hit him.

He, like some posters here, is under the "if not Dak then who" spell.

The "who" is now out there for the taking and he's more skilled, talented, a proven winner, and best of all cheaper.

Russell can't win without a elite running game and HOF defense. Two things he will NOT find in Dallas.

Sad that people don't understand what market rate means. It is not rocket science.
Most people don't because they don't pay close attention. Remember, market rate is different at every other position. Only at the quarterback position can players demand top market rate even though they are not worth top market value. You can't do that at any other position.
