Better To Bite The Bullet Than Extend Dak

So let's play it safe and pay Dak 60 mil a year and let the rest of the team lose good players. We can fill in around Dak with draft picks. But just remember Dak needs everything around him perfect. So you have to draft Oline and Dline and hope the guys can be instant starters. And hope they have an easy schedule so they can make the playoffs.
It’s no different than now. Nothing changes. Salary cap goes up everything stays the same.
[/QUOTE]
Exactly the point. The minute the team misses on a tackle or guard it'll be, "the team failed Dak...but let's make him the highest paid player...". I suspect most of these people use Dak as a crutch for their own blind spots in their performance in their personal lives.

But still much better than Wilson on both categories. By about 20%..

1. I want to start by saying Dak has about 80 more pass attempts than Wilson this season, so keep that in mind.

2. Dak has 800 MORE passing yards, but only 4 more TD passes. Again, 80 more pass attempts for Dak.

3. Wilson has more rushing yards and TDs than Dak, not by much at all, but still more.

4. Wilson has rushed for 38 first downs this season compared to Dak's 21. Wilson does what we all beg Dak to do in this category.

5. Probably the most important and most intriguing thing is that Wilson will be cheaper than Dak and he's at the perfect age where we can start to transition to a younger guy in a few years. Dak might be around for another decade (who really wants that?).

6. The team is ready to win NOW. This isn't a rebuild like Denver is considered. Sean Peyton is starting all over.

7. Wilson is an undeniable upgrade in terms of talent and skill. You give him Lamb, Cooks, Gallup, and Fergie and let him cook.

8. Wilson is the answer to the "if not Dak who?" question. Wilson is the "who". He is the upgrade that will be available.

Let Russ cook in Dallas.

What do you have against this?

It doesn't make their hero the star.
The Cowboys might succeed with a real quarterback, and that would ruin their day.

That's cute and all, but shouldn't Cowboys fans not expect more than 4 TDS better than a guy that you have 800 more passing yards then?

I mean, you're cool with the TD's being that close with Dak having that many more yards and attempts?
Well it's not about cuteness.

You are trying to change the narrative of what you yourself posted.

Daks stats are 20% better than Wilson. Unless you have a wide margin of comparison. 20% is significant no matter how you count it.

And where is the standard of yards to TDs you are using for your argument. A totally made up standard nowhere to be found. Made up by you to make another empty argument

So Wilson is a better runningback than Dak. What does this have to do with throwing the ball? Wilson has not won ish without a elite defense and top tier running game.

Did you not read the part about Dak having 80 more pass attempts than Wilson and only 4 more passing TDs?

Wilson has won "ish" though. Dak can't even sniff it.

You left out 800 more passing yards. You hate Dak. But you can never name one viable replacement. You only name other losers with below average records.

Do you think 800 more passing yards and only 4 more TDs is something be proud of?

You know what happens if you throw for 500 yards and 0 TDs in a game? YOU LOSE.

You know what happens if you throw for 200 yards and 4 TDs in a game? YOU WIN (more than likely).

You're being the typical Cowboys fan that acts like they know nothing about football just to defend their guy.

Also, it's rich that you're calling a Super Bowl champion in Wilson a "LOSER" while propping Dak up. Dak fans are literal crazy people.

I don't mind the comparison brother but...Russell Wilson irks me and disgusts me WAAAAAY more than Dak. Dak is your own child that tries hard, overachieves...but is not that talented. Russ is someone else's kid that delusionally thinks he is the ****, consistently pisses off his teammates and lives in a child-like fantasy world and seems to have never entered the real world. I'll stick with Dak all things being even...

Now, if you said Justin Fields and we could get some picks back in addition, DO IT. Fields may not be the answer, but at least we would start the process of moving on. Progress stoppers are normally average/good players that prevent BETTER players from getting opportunities...

Progress stoppers like Dak are franchise killers and time wasters.

Dak's contract and possible extension will dictate keeping other players on the team. At some point he has to decide for himself if its about the money or about winning because that is how the salary cap is structured. The decision is complicated for both parties. At the end of the day, I would roll the dice with Dak, but at what price? Quite the conundrum my fellow zoners.

Name a suitable replacement. You can't. You also don't understand the owner's philosophy. It is not to satisfy the nobodys on recliners. It is to merely remain relevant. So he can fill his coiffeurs with money and keep the low I.Q. Cowboys fans tuned in and coming to the stadium.

Playoff success is obviously not Jerry's priority. If you can understand Jerry's frame of thinking, then you will know why Dak is not going anywhere.

Would you leave money on the table for the worst GM in the league to waste?

Russell is 11-19 with Denver. Are you ok bro? Math is your friend.
Okay. So W/L is a QB stat then?

I can play that game then.

Wilson is 9-7 in the playoffs with a Super Bowl victory and another Super Bowl appearance.
Dak is 2-4 with two Wild Card wins.

Why do I feel like you don't want to do the W/L is a QB stat thing now?
