Guys declined years ago but nothing like it is now. Tyler Huntley just got selected as an alternate. The pro bowl is officially meaningless.

Huntley gets in because Josh Allen wants to play in a golf tournament instead........
They should make a rule were if you're not listed as the starter and you decline it (especially for non medical reasons) then it should be taken off your accolades. So, Josh Allen for example wasn't the starter and chose not to play so they should force the players hands and make them show up (if you don't want to play then it doesn't go on your accolades list, you're no longer a pro bowler). That would help all of these B.S "oh this guy is the 4th alternate because the guys above him refused to show up."
I know the pro bowl event itself isn't a big deal, but the players can't have it both ways. They can't be vocal about being selected (helps build accolades and helps in contract negotiations) but at the same time want to water it down by not showing up and making guys on the back-end get nominated as well
