Texas looked outclassed tonight and lucky it was not a bigger blowout.

K State whipping a team that was a play away from beating Ohio State, two things to take away from this: the Big 10 is gar -bahage and the Big 12 was underrated this season, not near as down as peripheral talking heads tried to pretend.

The Big 12 was plenty good as it always is. So many teams were developing QBs this year but the overall talent was high as always.
The only conference better is the SEC.

I'm pretty proud of them. Heck, even Texas hung in there better than I thought they might against an Oregon team they had no business playing. Their D was really pretty good -- it was those two pick sixes that killed them.

I'd think Baylor should stomp UCF... OU should get stomped by possibly the best team in the country... OSU will probably lose to Mizzou but I wouldn't be shocked if they won, either. Overall very respectable.

UT needs better QBs/WRs for sure. Not fake 5 star guys but actual football players. They need to hit some JUCOs.
Find guys with actual production not just great SPARQ scores.
The defense has tons of speed and solid size but again need more football players.

I wouldnt be surprised if OU beat Bama. Or if it was a Bama blow out. OU has been jeckyl and hyde this year.
Bama is no where near as good as they were last year though.
I hate we didnt see Oregon vs Bama in a contrast of styles.

I think OSU vs Missou is a great game of similar teams. Whichever QB plays best likely wins that one.

I expect Baylor to set scoring records.

Texas was lucky Mariota was hurt. A healthy QB and Oregon connects on some more big plays and puts up more points.

Is anyone hyped to see TAM vs Duke?

I just cannot get worked up over Duke. I guess the Manziel factor has many wanting to see him close it out there.

This is the truth. If Mariotta is healthy, I thing this team is the NC.

UCF is putting on a beatdown. O'Leary is taking Briles to school...Baylor looks completely undisciplined and unprepared. How many penalties are you going to commit?

I've watched 2 big games of Baylor's this year & they lose both of them. Ugly.

I have to tell you that I was worried going in that my Knights would have a hard time trading score for score with Baylor, but man was I wrong. The Baylor defense is nowhere close to what it was advertised to be and that is one of the worst disciplined teams I have ever seen. Most of the penalties were just blatant like they just expected to get away with it. I haven't watched his teams play much, but if that is indeed Art Briles football, color me unimpressed.

When was the Baylor defense advertised to be good? I had not seen or heard that this, but admittedly I didn't watch many of the college football pundits during the last month.

I think he's an excellent coach but I guess having such a long time between games gives good offenses a huge advantage. I was impressed with CFU.

Baylor has a solid defense but it didn't show up at all last night.
Outclassed in major way.

Wonder how much of Briles' time was spent in talks with UT?
That Baylor team looked rather flat and clueless which has hardly been the case under Briles.

Strange indeed.

The talking heads were saying it all week. I knew from the mentions during the week that they had 17th ranked defense and that they could get after the QB. Certainly no disrespect towards Baylor or their fans because the mentions did not come from them, but my only real exposure to Baylor was this game and the talking heads led me to believe that UCF would struggle to score while Baylor blew them out of the building.

That's funny, to me Baylor's defense this year was still bad to average at best. It may have looked good in comparison to past years when it was absolutely horrific, but it still wasn't good. It's just that normally their offense is so good, a few stops a game is all the team needs to win. But Petty was way off last night. That one INT in the endzone was just awful, and he never really got on track.

UCF did look really good though -- very well coached. I couldn't help thinking about O'Leary lying on his resume years ago... Imagine if he'd been at Notre Dame all these years. They'd be a true national power, I bet.
