I cannot really seem to care much about AM radio where slackjaw humor and emotional appeal is what is most important.

2000-2004 Hardline is still the best in DFW Sports Radio history

I think that unless the former player is simply GREAT, the best thing you could possibly do is a seasonal show with Nate. Bring him in during football season, then he can vacation until football season rolls around again.dadymat;5008872 said:I personally liked Nate ......I think all these stations would do the metroplex a favor by adding previous players t their line ups...it adds credibility IMO

There is no room for Ben and Skin at the ticket, unless they do a 7:00 pm-10:00 pm show.No matter what anyone thinks of the ticket, they when the ratings war, from 5:30 am-7:00 pm,monday thru friday. The only other place for Ben and Skin over there is on weekends.erod;5008856 said:The problem for ESPN and The Fan is that their ratings are so microscopically small compared to the The Ticket, they barely register at all.
Ben and Skin should have never left The Ticket. All they do is Ticket Schtict, and if they would have just bided their time, they would have found their way into the fold over there.
The only guy at ESPN that has a shot is Galloway, and that's only because he's been doing radio here for well over 20 years. He gets a mild following as a result.
The ticket would never take away an hour from the morning show,or the hardline. Those are their top 2 rated shows. At least for Elfenbein he gets to do a weekday show at the fan.He would never get that at the ticket.erod;5008871 said:Well, they could have got the night spot first, and if that went well, I could have seen a scenario where they could have taken an hour from the morning show and an hour from the Hardline, and wedged them in. Norm isn't going to be there forever obviously.
Mark Elfenbein made an error, too, though I understand him wanting to get off of Sundays and stop selling houses. His show is crap, and that Slater ditz is an embarassment. She has a second-grade understanding of sports.
I find it all hilarious. Don't take yourself so seriously.dadymat;5009449 said:if ya like childish fools parading as radio hosts maybe...Ryner, Greggo and Corby are on my worst list
A few years ago, ESPN advertised they don't do a lot of lame potty humor, obviously targeting The Ticket.rocyaice;5009510 said:My whole knack on sports radio in Dallas is that its rarely about sports. Its these lame jokes and in the case of the Ticket its about everything but sports especially at around 5.

The Ticket?
The Fan?
CATCH17;5009650 said:I actually like Ben. I think he is alright. Skin is terrible though. He says the dumbest jokes and the people around him sound like they feel forced that they have to laugh at that.
Who thinks Skin is funny? What on earth does he bring to a radio show or broadcast?
And now ESPN does a ton of it. They try to copy The Ticket constantly, and fail miserably. I wish they'd just stick to being an alternative.BringBackThatOleTimeBoys;5009582 said:A few years ago, ESPN advertised they don't do a lot of lame potty humor, obviously targeting The Ticket.
