Big changes at 103.3 ESPN

Not only does Greggo know nothing about anything, it is impossible to listen to him try to put together a cogent third-grade thought.

Worse is the lying and backstabbing and manipulation he demonstrated throughout his cocaine-binged disasterous last few months at the Ticket. Most disgusting was how he played for sympathy and used his co-hosts because of his addiction to pain killers. His issues were actually far worse.

Rednecks tend to love him.

One of the 3 stations has a commercial about "tired of the east coast blowhards?". Greg Williams is at the opposite end of the spectrum from the "east coast guys".

Native Texans might or might not like Greg Williams but many including myself can't stand to listen to guys like Colin Cowterd.

Well, pretty much the whole Ticket is made up of Dallas-raised hosts. Bad radio is the exception, and while Norm is from the northeast originally, he's been here since the 70s.

For me the hardline is the only show I really enjoy listening to. I couldn't listen to them with Gregg Williams. I have never understood the guy's draw.
Same here. Granted, I haven't listened to him that much, even back in his so-called heyday with Ryner. But when I have heard him, I always wondered what made him so popular.

Norm is from the buffalo area
Bob is from Wisconsin
Dan is from Ohio
Gordon is from Mississippi, or at least grew up there.

The hardline are all Texas guys though.

Is there anyone worse than Richie Whitt? I mean honestly he is the epitome of , his infamous Bryan Dolgin interview is a perfect example of someone who shouldn't be on the radio. I listen to The Ticket mostly but Corby is the least tolerable person they have imo, Mike is funny and at a level where he can just be himself and rest on his laurels. The Fan was great with Arnie on overnight and once you got his schtick you could enjoy it more, it seems like the engineers & program directors are more entertaining than the actual hosts on The Fan though:confused:

Enjoyed their shtick , they are very talented and may be a little too forward thinking for the DFW audience who are in love with the Ticket Norm Hitzges religiously.

Just an FYI. B&S started at The Ticket. Didn't cut-the-mustard, and were let go.

Their "shtick", is a byproduct of what they developed at The Ticket, which by the way, has CONSISTENTLY been the number 1 rated sports station in the DFW market.

So yes, you're right...the DFW audience indeed is "in love" with The Ticket, Norm, Bad Radio et al.

Oh, and BTW...we have been for going into their 18th year!

I'm not some big gun advocate or anything, but Richie and Greggo kind of ticked me off going on his rants regarding gun ownership in general. The were belittling average citizens and even bringing politcs into the mix. I mean, they kept doing it and I kept thinking, "what is the point of this"?

I don't think Ben and skin were fired from the ticket. They left to take a full time job at the fan, under Bruce Gilbert.

Pretty sure they quit their actual jobs to get to to radio full time.

Then the fan wanted to break them up so they left for espn 103.3

I imagine they end up back at noon at the fan here sometime.

The Musers,, Hardline, and Gordon all graduated high school in DFW, as did many of the background guys.

I didn't even realize Gilbert left ESPN to go to The Fan. I knew he had a pretty high-profile position at ESPN on the E. coast after he left the PD position at The Ticket.

Curious, what were/are Ben & Skins "regular" jobs? I've never heard.

Not positive on skin, think it was something in music.

Pretty sure Ben was a salesman and a good one making a good living.

I haven't heard much worse. He tries to come off as a guy who thinks he knows what he's talking about. That Dez Bryant 'breaking news' was really bad.

I'm not familiar with the Dolgin interview what happened there?

Richie Whitt is horrible, can't stand the guy. I was surprised when the fan fired Newy Scruggs but kept Whitt on. He brings nothing imo

It seems like Ben and Skin have something lined up, they said this is just a brief radio hiatus today.

Rob Ryan said something along those lines as well.

The Ticket has a more hometown feel. One thing I hate about the Fan is that their nearly all transplants other than Richie and Greggo. I can't stand that Commanders fan in the morning...freaking idiot. Norm might be from Buffalo originally but he is a Dallas mainstay for more than 30 years.

Basically Dolgin wouldn't ask Ron Washington a question about him spilling something at a grocery store and Richie got angry and banned him from his show, when Dolgin went to clear the air Richie wouldn't even meet with him. Dolgin covers the Rangers for ESPN now so he landed on his feet but Richie showed just how much of a punk he really is with that interview. Honestly the only good thing about The Fan is Troy Hughes G-Bag Nation & Slater's body.

no need to tell me I know.

actually though the fan has richie, greggo, elf, slater, armon all from the area also

shaun shariff is awful, he spent the whole season talking about the Commanders......on the cowboys pregame show. he is the worst and should not be anywhere near the cowboys official pregame or postgame show.....

:) Yeah that.

I agree with you on G-Bag Nation that is appointment radio for me right now. As for Whitt man what a jerk that guy is.
