Good luck to you Drew Henson.

I'd suggest to you that the $13 MILLION Henson has gotten from the Yankees, Texans, and Cowboys to play minor league baseball, hold a clipboard, and playing ONE HALF of ONE NFL game is more luck than anyone in the world deserves.

Don't think I ever responded to a Henson thread.

I was excited about his accusition. Thought he was an interesting prospect.

Do not subscribe to the Henson conspiracy garbage. It's BS! So was the idea that Henson was a Jones guy. More BS! I specifically remember Parcells talking this guy up. His father was a coach, I spoke to his college coach and liked what I heard. Not word for word, but I do remember these things coming out of Bill's mouth.

I don't know why the media and certain board members have to propegate this myth of discord between Jones and Parcells. BS!

Parcells does things the right way to put the best talent on the field. He doesn't waste time COVERING HIS BUT.

If a young player who just happened to be a higher round pick doesn't show enough in a timely fasion he's gone. No questions asked.
He doesn't worry about what the media thinks or writes about wasted picks.

That's what happened to PETERMAN and it's also what happened to HENSON.
I think Parcells and his coaches took a hard look at this guy and decided he just wasn't worth the roster spot. Instead of keeping three QB's they'll keep two and save a roster spot for another quality player.

Keeping Henson wasthe safe move, the easy move. Can't be critized for it.
We should be happy we have a coach who's more concerned with having the best team and not covering his own but.

I'd suggest all the lottery winners on the planet give back all their money too as well.

Please, this "stealing money" crap is getting old.

One must admit that the players that Jerry has brought in have pretty much just sat around....Can anyone say Peerless Price?

This was mentioned by Nate Newton and he mentioned a couple of other players as well.

BP can't stop JJ from bringing anyone in....but he doesn't have to play them.

I'm not saying either way whether BP was in accord with JJ in bringing anyone here.....just not drinking the same kool-aid that alot of others are that believe that JJ and BP have been on the same page since he's been here.
It doesn't happen....it doesn't even happen in people's regular jobs.

I am a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and that is regardless of who the backup quarterback is. It amazes me how people on this board will debate endlessly on their own quarterback agendas. I'm reading posts with quotes like "I was a big fan of Henson" and phrases getting thrown around like "wasted talent". Let me clue you guys in to a universal set of truths. There is no debating these points as they are fact.

1- The coaches see these players in practice every single day. They spend every waking moment evaluating, breaking down, and analyzing every single facet of the players' abilities and tendencies. They meet until the wee hours of the night to discuss said players.

2- Believe it or not Jerry and BP have much more on the line than even the most ardent of fans. They have not only financial investments at stake but reputations which are under a daily media microscope to uphold.

3- Regardless of whay some of you may think, the people who make personnel decisions are infinitely more qualified to do so than anyone else and that includes, members of the media, sports analysts, and message board posters.

Please, let's trust decisions made which are for the best of our team and move on. There is nothing anyone can do, the Henson decision is beyond our control. Do not let things that are out of your control consume you.

And Hopefully, it will be my last word on the subject.

I hope we get some value out of him but I doubt we will.

I expect he will be releaced.

I have been a big fan of his since we signed him. This is not to say that I have been against Bledsoe or Romo but I wanted to see him do well.

Now he is gone and I wish him well. I hope he finds a good place to land and I will always pull for him, as a former Cowboy, unless he is against us.

I hope Bledsoe stays healthy, leads us to big things this year and puts together the kind of season that will get him a real shot at getting into the HOF.

I hope Romo continues to improve and I hope we have seriously found a diamond in the rough. I hope he does turn out to be our future.

I believe Bill did what he thought best. Not every decision he makes will be the right one but I believe he will always do what he thinks is best. I believe he will have more right decision then wrong ones and that's all you can ask. In the end, this decision may also turn out to be the right one.

Good luck to you Drew Henson.

:hammer:

All these "I told you so's" and "Henson sucks" threads are ridiculous. We knew the board was going to blow up after the announcement/PC, but come on. I'll see you guys tomorrow when it dies down, and rationality has had time to set in. I expect to see a litter of bodies at the bottom of the canyon from all the suicides.

I think its readily apparent that the Cowboys decided to give up on him rather than the otehr way around. I also believe he payed the Yankees back.

Now it is obvious that the club thnks that after several years ge stilll pressed too much and was uncomfortable. Whether that is merited or not who knows.

Bottomline is Henson is a good guy reguardless of his status on the team and this type of drivel to a guy who in every way acted with the class that I love to see from members of the Dallas Cowboys.
