You are going to hate yourself for posting this stupidity. But you can always claim a medical condition, it would be the only excuse that will protect you from your own self loathing. Murray will keep running to "darkness" and he will grow on you like a bad rash. You can scratch until your skin comes off in red tatters but you will be in sweet agony. Soon. Very soon. Mark my words, ignorance and/or blindness only goes so far, Murray is like the light at the end of a tunnel except he hits a heckuva lot harder than an oncoming car.

Didn't say he had no Oline.

Larry was a 2nd and the highest pick on that Oline. That's a fact. They lucked out cobbling that line together and spent the next 16 years thinking they could do it again.

3 number 1 picks on this line and they are young.

LOL Larry is in the HOF. Emmitt had a great Oline. Your making no sense.

Yes, Emitt had a great line in his 3rd and 4th year. When did I say he didn't? Larry was great, a HOF. Who said he wasn't?

The point is and read slowly so you get it- they were not drafted in round one and for half of Emitt's career he played behind average lines and produced.

Murray hasn't produced until he had this Oline with 3 number ones.

On another line he is nothing.

Like Hatcher putting up big numbers in a contract year, Murray is doing the same.

Hatcher benefited from being a 3tech and Murray, a great line. Let Murray walk like Hatcher- to the Skins or Raiders.

Don't overpay for him

Now I agree I don't want to over pay.

But let's not act like this is simply this type of play in a contract year. He showed last year he could play like this too. The only reason he didn't have a much bigger year was because the team kept abandoning the dang run.

This is a couple straight years where he's shown he can really play good football for us.

But, again, that said I don't want to over pay for him.

I'd rather use a 2 or 3 rounder on a defensive player than another RB

People undervalue the RB position and Murray in particular.

Murray is dominating and that's why we're winning.

Murray is putting up big numbers because the team is actually committed to the run. What did you expect to happen when his carries go from 25-30 a game from 10-15? Last yr the guy had over 1000 yrds and Dallas was 2nd to last in carries per game.

exactly right. murray is just doing what he has done since he got here. he is healthy and getting more carries but even last year he ran just as well just did'nt get as many touches. the conttract year stuff applies to a guy who is doing more than he has before, murray is doing the same as he did last year

the difference is hatcher had never come close to the numbers he put up. murray is actually avg less yards per carry this year than last. he is just getting more touches. i don't see how you can compare the two myself no one wants to over pay any player but to compare his situation with some player who had never come close to the numbers he put up in a contract year is a weak argument

Wrong! Murray produced last year and has been productive even without an oline. Did we have 3 number ones last year?

You can't make stuff up man.

I agree that we cannot afford to pay too much for Murray but you need to understand that he is not just another back benefiting from a good offensive line. ProFootballFocus (premium membership) shows that Murray has rushed for 792 yards with the next closest back, Le'Veon Bell, having 542. However, Murray has 471 of his yard after contact and no other RB except Bell has that many total yards. That is dominating. In addition, he has 35 broken/missed tackles with the next closest being Arian Foster with 25. Those stats do not suggest someone who is simply benefiting from huge holes opened by a great offensive line, They suggest a great RB as well. We may not be able to afford Murray's price next year, but he will not be easily replaced.

The thing is, Murray was able to run behind a poor line 3-4 years ago. Did you guys forget already? The dude had to dance his way out of our backfield just for positive yards, and he STILL did it over and over.

The reason you state is not the reason you shouldn't resign Murray. You don't sign him because A) He'll want too much money and B) Injury history.

Don't downplay his skill level. He's a great all around back.

Yea, I can really see the undying non-wavering on a balanced offense that highlights a running back matching Jim Browns best season. Yea, and at a salary of under $800,000. Who would dare wish an increase in that salary...

4 lost fumbles, when most of those occur when already tackled and going to the ground.

I can really see how that is the macho/manly thing to see...

Sorry but this guy has missed 23% of his games in 3 years. Fumbles every game and let's not pretend he had put up big numbers (1500+). The guy was limited in carries because of health.

I never said he was terrible but he is simply not a franchise back worth paying for.

If he stays healthy and breaks the 2k mark, franchise him and see what he'll bring.

His biggest year is 11oo yards. Come on. In 4 years, he never broke 1500.

If he had gotten to 1,500, you'd probably say, "He never broke 1,800."

If he had gotten to 1,800, you'd probably say, "He never broke 2,000."

What is all this about negative vibes!
Giants are in for a world of hurt.
I am stoked for the future ! Smart financial decisions are apart of that. Spend that money on R.McClain and draft an RB.
(I'm actually hitting Murray a little early this week. We set the clocks back soon, don't we?)

Wouldn't R. McClain be in a contract year as well? But you are willing to play him?

That's a good question. He has a lot to prove character wise but there is no question for me that his presence in the mlb spot is huge part of the D success.

He put MLynch backwards by himself which rare. He brings size and attitude we haven't seen in long time.
E Lockheart?

Lee is signed. Bruce is up and probably the odd man with what's happened. Durant is up too in contract.

I'd let him play out. Look at his numbers. Character through out the year. If it all pans out, 4 years 27 million. Can't keep everyone. He is a top 10 talent at MLB. Those guys are rare. We will see

Funny- looked in the top five for the last three years. He's not there. Missed 23% of his games.

Can't believe guys are so big on Murray. The man-crush over inflated praises are hysterical.
