Biggest difference between us and Denver

The Broncos don't kick field goals. Though they've had a bye, they've only attempted 8 field goals all season compared to our 15. They've scored 6 more touchdowns than us.

Dan Bailey is a weapon, but we've hurt ourselves, missing out on touchdowns that would have helped seal games much earlier.

The Broncos don't do this, and we're going to need to get on that level.

I'm hoping that this offense becomes even more efficient as the season goes on, and that we start utilizing more of our weapons to facilitate that efficiency.

I honestly think this might be a result of an over reliance on the run. And to head off those who can't understand nuance, I'm not suggesting giving up on the run, rather to shift the balance slightly towards the pass when the situations call for it.

I feel like this offense is only operating at about 65-70 percent efficiency. Not until we get guys like Dunbar, Beasley, and Escobar more involved, will we see this offense really open up completely.

I think we have weapons that Denver doesn't have, that no team has.

We need to start getting the scoring going in the 1st quarter. We're 19th in the NFL in points in the 1st quarter, even though we're 2nd in the nfl in 1st quarter TOP.

We're top 10 in every other quarter.

I think we have things a bit backwards. We're running to set up the pass, when we should be passing to set up the run and closing out games once we have leads. As a result we're in this close games throughout and have to hope the defense closes things out at the end.

Denver almost looks unstoppable right now. They're not just winning games, they're blowing teams out. Manning is on pace to break his own records he set last year, and their defense is finally healthy and is much improved from last season as well.

One thing I should also note though, is that we're not punting the ball. We have 22 punts in 7 games. Meaning we're punting an average of about 3 times a game.

That's 29th in the league.

Denver even though they've played one less game than us have punted always twice as many times. Part of that is also the amount of giveaways we have... which is 11, whereas Denver has 4.

We've got to be a much smarter team on offense and special teams.

They are doing the same thing they did last year. The game slows down in the playoffs.

My $0.02 is that their defense is MUCH better looking that it was last year.

Demarcus Ware, Von Viller coming back in shape (which he wasn't when he came off his suspension last year), TJ Ward, Talib, etc

Talib over a broken-down Champ Bailey is such an upgrade.

Manning is a better QB than Romo. That isn't a hit on Romo. Manning is better than all QBs right now,

Peyton Manning is the biggest difference. If both teams agreed to not play their starting QB, the Cowboys would be helped greatly.

I think our playbook will continue to open on both sides of the ball, based on how we are scouted....
here's to good health...

I hear this every year...
Brady, Manning..... looks unstoppable...
like marshall faulk said, every offensive looks unstoppable until its stopped...

and like irvin responded about the cowboys.... yeh.... we were unstoppable...:D:cool:;)

This is true. Lots of unstoppable offenses have flamed out and not won a Superbowl.

Most recently the 1998 Vikings, 2007 Patriots, and 2011 Packers come to mind.

and although I respect their defense.... manning has been known to throw the ball to the wrong jersey in big games, if you hit him, and show him things he doesn't expect....

good chance they will win it.... but there's a good chance they won't......
a lot of season is left....

I'm watching teams' positions right now, but it's after Thanksgiving when we'll really start to see who's a contender and who's not. Denver, of course, is going to look good. And they might actually keep it up this year. We'll have to see. But they looked completely unstoppable at this time last season, and then they got dismantled when it mattered most.

I"d have said our running game, or their edge rush are the biggest difference between the two teams, btw.
